@ryofurue thank you for the effort of rechecking. No, I have not reported it anywhere, as I have long ago become disappointed in the effectiveness of reporting Vivaldi bugs. I must have reported dozens of bugs in the past 8 years, only to witness most of them still being around. My motivation for pointless reporting went to 0. As an alternative, I usually just post a passive aggressive message in Vivaldi blog, hoping to motivate others to join their voices to the cause, which has unfortunately proven to be even more effective than merely reporting a bug.

EDIT: And yes, you're completely right about the reproducibility. I've seen such behaviour on multiple completely non-correlated computers, operating systems, environments, even private windows! That's when I decided to rant, because it's obvious it has nothing to do with my settings - which is a usual reply to anyone reporting a bug.

unfortunately Chromium is just not suited as a base for a good browser and upstream issues blocking or making basic features extremely hard to implement is a recurring pattern

as @rziiil mentioned, profiles separate too many things, user would have to keep multiple profiles in sync regarding bookmarks, history, passwords, other autofill data, extensions and their settings, these are useful but that's just a different scope

I have also checked the trouble shooting steps in other similar posts, which don't help. I have also disabled all add blocking, which also doesn't help.

It does suggest a codec problem in Vivaldi though.
