Have you guys checked out the latest update for Vivaldi on iOS? A setting to display the full URL was added to Vivaldi 6.9. 🥳

I can't answer for the devs, but of course Vivaldi will work with iOS 18.

Can I suggest that having the drop down appear when I start typing makes more sense than having it appear immediately, or rather it does for people who have the Speed Dial page set up and use it regularly.

Having said that, now that I have switched off "Focus Address Bar on New Tab" the popup doesn't show when the new page opens but does show as soon as I press in the address bar to begin typing - which makes everything make perfect sense, at least in my use case.

So I think that disabling the setting does what I want with no inconvenience at all. I had just misunderstood the implications of switching it on!

I may have some helpful info that might help you with this bug.
So on the cruise blog website I went random blog and noticed when you swipe your thumb or figure sideways that it will cause the website glitch out like that but if your careful not to do it sideways then you should be fine.
This something that never really occurred to me before but true sometimes we move our thumbs or fingers sideways when getting out of an app or in the browser going back and forth.
I hope this helps you narrow down the bug which seems to be from gestures of moving left and right but gets confused going sideways.

Alternatively, you could try opening a link from another app, that usually triggers the browser to open.

My iPhone 13 does reasonably good, when I use Vivaldi. But my 2017 iPad gets hot as to bake pan cake on it.
If I don't want to tinker with adblock lists and simply want to use the standard and default ones, is there any other thing I could do?

Starting with the basics, have you logged in to the same Vivaldi account on all devices you want to Sync and is the syncing status active/done? Secondly, in case you only sync some data not all, double check that bookmark syncing is enabled.

If it's the first sync on a device and you have a lot of bookmarks and other data to sync, it can take some time for the bookmarks to appear.

We've been testing it, but so far have not been able to reproduce the issue. So, we have more questions.

What's the model of your iPhone?

When you close the app from the app switcher and don't just leave it open in the background, is the history lost then as well? If it is, perhaps you can grab a screen recording of the bug, showing the history before closing the app and when reopening Vivaldi. Create a ticket and attach the video on https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/.

Can anyone say where Sessions are stored on a Mac so I can restore from TimeMachine.

Apple Store did offer me an older version so I took it. Seemed to work OK until it crashed after Sync.
Have not had time to try further and phone battery is dead.
I will look at it further tonite.
