I have this same issue. It is a feature of macOS laptop trackpads called force click on force touch trackpads. This does not work either for me in Vivaldi despite working in Firefox, Chrome and Safari

@DoctorM There's no setting to disable it.

Just don't hold Ctrl down I guess.

Regarding empty tabs: Sometimes, when no Vivaldi windows are open, clicking a link in another program opens a single Vivaldi window with two tabs: the Start Page, and the link destination.

Why it's sometimes two windows and sometimes one window with two tabs I do not know. What I do know is that when Vivaldi has no open windows and is directed to open a page, it should open only that page. I believe all other browsers I've used behave this way.

@StrobeT4 I double-checked it again today, I thought maybe I was wrong, but no! I open 4 tabs, and it starts killing it. they never had proper macOS maintenance TBH, always bugs, and problems.

brave is using more ram in your system?

@jwalzer Sorry. Got hit by a nasty flu bug and am still catching up on the status of bugs I have been following. Your bug is still open but I don't know how much progress has been made internally. Right now, I think devs are focused primarily on the highest-priority bugs and getting a new Chromium 136 base ready for the next release.

My conclusion is the problems happened when I updated both MacOS and then Vivaldi on the same day. So I reverted to an older Vivaldi version, and it's functioning at least.

I had to work in Brave and Firefox for a day, felt handicapped.

In short, it's a friggin' mess invented by Google, as if the user-agent header wasn't already abused enough by crap websites...

I'm experiencing the same thing, sometimes the window appears to be in focus and it appears that the text field should be ready for input, but it is not (the error sound is the 'your keypresses do nothing' indication). If I then click in the address bar, for example, I can enter text as usual.

@TiggerGTO Unvisited tabs, same as in Windows. If you open a tab in the bankground, or if a tab auto-reloads in the background, Vivaldi tells you that it has new information you haven't seen yet.

I had the opposite issue... The Discord app does not work. The only way to access Discord is through Vivaldi.
Make sure you use the proper Discord URL.

Althought I must admit it took a drop when the default bookmarks were all in French 🤔
My OS is ENG, most of this country speaks Flemish (not French), perhaps somewhere this can be reported?

What does "using duckduckgo" mean? Are you searching for the site in DDG first?

What does "stopped working" mean? What error messages do you get, what do you see? Make a screenshot if it's difficult to explain.
