I am glad that Vivaldi team has found a workaround to the issue.
I don't know what chromium devs were thinking when they created and approved this change. Will just hope that either they will be forced to revert changes by community, or at least that the workaround will keep working. Using this new style menu is a real pain.

Personally, my opinion is that the developers of programs do not use their own programs.

@czvacko As I said above, online OCSP/CRL validation, based on querying servers and URLs embedded in the certificates, has been performed since before 1.0, if fact since before the very first Technology Preview of Vivaldi. It is not remotely new.

Public CAs are required to have those URLs embedded in their certificates. Company internal CAs aren't but they may conceivably be using software that does so automatically.

There has also been a number of changes in Chromium the past couple of years regarding certificate processing (including that the main rootstore is now part of our configuration and source code, and the Chromium source is doing all certificate processing and verification inside Chromium/Vivaldi, not using OS APIs), and that may also have had an impact.

My suggestion would be to use a tool like Wireshark to see what exactly happens at the network level, unless inspecting the site certificate and its chain (Especially the AIA, OCSP, and CRL fields) turns up a likely source of the problem.

Baah, Floorp has so many nice things already integrated (I missed those menu icons 🤗 ) and which are such a pain to manually add to FFN, so I'm back to it 😁 (despite it using XWayland 😤 by being a Firefox ESR)

@Zalex108 Rather surprisingly, if you load the "tab" in a new tab it does work.. Works as supposed to in Opera, hence not a Chromium issue.

Completely agree. I feel like most of that "clutter" we've mentioned comes from components that feel out of place. I can't help but feel like some icons don't belong next to each other, the same goes for some menus, dropdowns and dialongs that have a style that doesn't match up.

Yeah, those are a problem for me too. I used the Mail feature a lot because I liked having all my inboxes together, but ended up turning it off because of the UI being uncomfortable. I'd love to go back to it but I would have to mod it first.

Создал другой профиль. В основном профиле создал гугл таблицу расшарил на редактирование. Зашел через новый профиль. Бага нет, все нормально. Зашел в профиль гугла, бага нет.

БАГА нет только когда браузер в полноэкранном режиме. Если браузер в оконном режиме - баг есть. Баг есть также, когда в полноэкранном режиме размещены несколько вкладок. Бага нет только на самом правом окошке, слева в окошках наблюдается баг.

В общем браузер ориентируется на край дисплея, а не на край своего окна программы. Ну и внутри окна не понимает, что размещено несколько документов и у них у каждого свой край.

Сейчас настраиваю этот профиль. Может и правда какие "хвосты" с предыдущих версий отвалятся.

Yes, it is currently absolutely possible without any kind of custom mod to display the status bar and the status info overlay at the same time. For this to work have the status bar visible, but have no status info element present in any toolbar, then the status info overlay will pop up when hovering a link. You have to discern between status bar, status info element, and status info overlay. These are three distinct elements which decide how your setup will relate to the present UI.

@Viqsi I'm pretty sure Vivaldi's webapp UI is unique in the browsing universe. It is an additional layer and thereby an expanded area where not only Vivaldi code changes, but also Chromium changes can trigger errors seen nowhere else. Further, every single machine that runs Vivaldi creates a unique environment, non-replicable by devs or testers, where some incompatibility or error may arise.

One way Vivaldi tries to defend against unanticipated friction in the interface, is to have (around seventy at present, I think) volunteer internal testers (called Sopranos), using Vivaldi on every age, capability and configuration of hardware possible, as many hours a day a possible, report back on every cock-up detected. So if any of my machines trips over anything, I report to devs ASAP. Same with the other Sopranos.

I not only use the bleeding edge of Vivaldi as my daily driver some 17 hours a day on my main Windows machine, I also test on three more towers (both Windows and Linux on one of these) and an old X86 laptop here in my office, two newer laptops that don't get turned on every day, a phone, a tablet, and two more towers (one somewhat obsolete) at my remote office when I'm there. To make matters worse, I read all the English posts in the Forum daily and try to reproduce bugs reported by users.

I'm not sure other Sopranos test on as many different kinds of hardware - in fact I'm sure they don't. No one hordes computers like me.

But when the devs and testers cannot reproduce an issue, there is no way to address it. Luckily if, say, even ten percent of users have a specific issue caused by a specific bit of code, one or more of the testers or devs is going to be able to reproduce it, and it's going to get tracked down. It's for this reason that thirty to fifty issues are resolved by the team every. single. day. And I don't even recognize most of the issues in the daily changelog, so I know even obscure glitches are being detected and remedied all the time. Yay team.

@Hadden89 It was isolated to Google within Vivaldi but Google Mail worked fine within Google so it seemed to me that the problem might be between Vivaldi Mail & Gmail but I have changed my settings to see if that helps. Thank you.
