There's a bug with the new Splash Screen; despite having a dark OS theme, if you set "Startup with" to anything else than "Last Session" you will get the light splash variant at browser launch.

Addressbar Dropdown „Go to Tab“-Badge: It always opens the other open tab in the active tab, not jumping to the tab. Is this how it should be? Because this did not happened in the earlier Addressbar, here it jumped to the respective tab. In Quick Commands it jumps. I think the „Go to Tab“-Badge in the Addressbar should behave the same like in Quick Commands.

OK yeah I was wondering if that was it, usually "auto-update" only refers to Windows. But makes sense.

@doctorg: The Search bar drop-down is more interconnected with the Address bar drop-down than I realized: If you delete the searched item from the Address bar drop-down, it disappears from the Search bar drop-down, too.

@doctorg: Ah, thanks! I'm sure that was what the response from the dev meant. They said that my problem is likely to be solved in the new version that has just been released. That must be Stable. I'll wait for the next Snapshot, then.

@sjudenim The idea behind the new addressbar was to make it so that you are more likely to get the autocompleted result you are looking for, because it learns from your behaviour. That part has been achieved for me and it works much better than the old one in my experience. Additionally I don't really like the prioritise checkboxes for the exact reason that they superficially alter the learning algorithm, so I keep them disabled. If you are someone that clears their history and/or chooses results from the dropdown often then I can see how that pose issues. The new addressbar now works more along the lines of how chromium works, but with more customization options.

I know bug reports are useless without reproduction steps, but this is all I've got, unfortunately Gmail icon on web panel was replaced by icon of idx.google.com: [image: 1741686268416-fe6f568a-30d0-4a52-ae01-3b34ece6055d-image.png] That happened a day after I last opened IDX. After restarting Vivaldi, the Gmail favicon came back. 7.2.3621.41, macOS
