@Pesala said in Vivaldi 6.5 RC 1 – Vivaldi Desktop Browser snapshot 3206.33/36:
I have tried resetting floating panels, disabling This Panel for the Translate Panel, and restarting Vivaldi.
The problem is that disabling floating for This Panel does not disable floating for all panels.
- Reset floating panels
- Set floating for all panels
- Set floating for This Panel
- Disable floating for This Panel
Expected: Floating to be disabled for All Panels.
Result: Floating is still enabled for All PanelsVB-102331 Disabling Floating for Translate Panel Fails

@Beholder4096 Works for me on Youtube 6.5.3206.33 Win 11.

@Ruarí Just want to say that everything is working great for me now. Had the crash on startup before but now it is gone!

Anyone seeing this:
Clicking the button that says "Review", but is unreadable in dark themes, crashes the browser.
It appears in only one of my three snapshot instance (a windows instance) and it simply does not go away. I could remove it directly from the bar but it is overkill. I don't know if the warning is old and only now it showed but I inspected the extensions and no problem there. I'm not an heavy user of extensions and it happens in a laptop so maybe something related to the brand...
Anyway it is useless in its current state.

Have you reported the crash? In case you don't know how to report a crash: https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/troubleshoot/reporting-crashes-on-windows/

@Durtro hi, does the extension information button appear in between browser restarts on your laptop? Are you able to start vivaldi with a commandline parameter? Could you please start vivaldi with "--disable-vivaldi" as a parameter to vivaldi.exe and take a look at what error is reported in the regular Chrome ui? The change in VB-102229 was supposed to only show disabled extenions errors/events. So I am curious about what this is. As @AltCode suggest, it would be great if you could submit a crashlog from this.

@other the extension information is always present after starting the browser. I tried to start vivaldi with a command line parameter but it didn't start. Will try again.
Anyway reported as VB-102344 with 4 attached dumps.
P.S. using vivaldi.exe --disable-vivaldi on the command line does not start vivaldi. without the argument vivaldi starts as usual
