Hi, I guess you rebuild the mail search database already?
You can delete the mail database manually but I am not sure it work for POP3 accounts.
Close VIvaldi and make a backup of the profile folder \Default.
Delete the folder \Default\Storage\ext\ mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli
At next start Vivaldi create a new database reading the data in \Default\Mail.

Hi, I can not really help here, to my knowledge Vivaldi's mail client (M3) has a shorter timeout time than other clients.
This happen sometimes with my Yahoo account but rarely/never with my Gmail and Outlook accounts.
Please, always add your Vivaldi, OS version.

A workaround you can use now is to create a note with the email addresses in your and insert the note content in the To field of your emails to groups.

Well, thank you very much for trying to solve this problem.

There is no setting to change the IMAP mailbox names and Namespace. I think, the mail client can an should detect the correct (server-sided pre-defined) ones.

I have the exact same problem on my university email account.

@NickStone as far I know, can't be customized (only on/off)

@hmestrum Sad to read that mail fails on Mac devices.

Close Settings

Open Vivaldi Mail
Open in a new tab vivaldi:inspect/#apps
Near Vivaldi chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/components/mail/mail.html click Inspect
In Developer tools window select Console
You can clear the log in Developer Tools with Ctrl+L
I Mail panel tab hit the button dropdown to fetch from the broken account
IMAP traffic is shown in Developer Tools window → Console
You can filter it in Filter field by typing janwillem@
Perhaps you see more than one error
In Console list use context menu Save as… and save the log
Reply to previous received bug report and attach the log.

Hi, archived mails are still in the search index database, I am not sure if the are in the regular database.
If you use IMAP you can try to rename the mail database folder.
/AppData/Local/Vivaldi/User Data/Default/Storage/ext/mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli
to mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli_bak or something.
This is the path shown on Linux, Windows use backslash.
At next start Vivaldi create a new database, you have to rebuild the search database again.
