I read somewhere that Google is doing this for Chromebook version of Chrome. I have no hopes about it coming for android chrome... It's too much tracking and ad for Google to give up... I bet it will never come to android chrome engine.

If I had to guess I would put my hopes on another mobile browser getting extensions before android Chrome.

Workspaces really do have potential. To keep things simple, whatever you have on desktop should ideally be importable in mobile. That means same structure of workspaces because right now in mobile, when importing, you would have your device list and on the next level of each would be the tabs in one continuous stream. It would be quite a challenge to determine the scope of a workspace if numerous tabs are involved.

I really hope this feature will be in future updates.

+1. This unhideable bottom toolbar annoys me, too.
After implementing this request (or even better: provide an option to merge urlbar with this toolbar and displaying them at top) Vivaldi would become the best browser on Android. (Firefox is good but it has a very annoying UI, and most cool features of Vivaldi are missing from Chrome.)

@mib2berlin as I mentioned, it's on iPad. So the issue is on iPad OS.

On the screenshots, you can see how icons around the Vivaldi get a bit bigger when hovered with an Apple Pencil.

Passing a link to a third party checker is not at all helpful for security (though you may have uses for it). The link can conditionally redirect somewhere else when you use a real browser, so you can get a false result. And it means you have now fallen for the problem; you believe you know exactly where the link will end up, and you will fail to check it again.

But if you want to do that, that's fine, you can do so. Use a third party QR code scanner app, and do what you like with it. Just bear in mind that you absolutely cannot trust anything based on the URL you initially load. You can only trust the address field that shows a URL where you land.

You also have not checked every other URL that you loaded, whether that was tapping a link, tapping a form submit button, tapping on a random web page element, having the page use window.open, location.href or meta refresh. You seem to think a QR code is something extra special that you need to be especially scared of, when you load untrusted links all the time from websites and search engines. Actually, a QR code is the same as any of those things, and you use them every day without checking the URLs that will load first.

Hi, few days ago the user @mt8482 post a flag to enable tab list view in Vivaldi, works in Vivaldi 6.9 and the upcomming 6.10.

Tab (stack) pinning to the first or last position of the tab list would be enormously helpful! 🙏

C'mon guys, would you please consider implementing a fast scroll bar in the tab view windows? It's really a pain if you have hundreds of tab open to scroll from the first to the last tab 😞

Ye. That should be nice. Export to JSON file with simple Map<String, List<String>> hierarchy and import for it. I have over 400 links with over 40 tab stack and I might be much easier to resort them time by time on PC in primitive format

Also I think the user base of Vivaldi is quite keen on privacy, tracking and customization so adding custom search engines seems like a no-brainer to me.

Hi, I guess this request can be closed/archived, finally Vivaldi 6.9 gets search in the settings now.

Look, it would be much better to make a logger like uBO, and the ability to block visual elements on the fly and create your own rules and filters.

What's the use of these statistics if the engine is a hole and can't even hide white blocks anyway?
Why do you even need statistics like this? What practical use does it have?

Definitely waiting for that feature. At least if it could follow the system schedule it would be already be great because it's the only thing that stops me from using Vivaldi on Android.

Hi, I am sorry for the late reply, some real live issues.
Vivaldi 6.10 is the next version, the Sopranos and the Vivaldi team members get early builds to test and find bugs.
To my knowledge such graphical glitches are not backported to an older Vivaldi version.
Only security patches and critical bugs like crashes are backported.
