In combination with Transparent Tab Bar + Accent From Page + Accent on Window options enabled, it will result in some amazing OS-scented Tab Bar colorations!

@yojimbo274064400 You misunderstood the issue.
This bug only occurs with the General setting, Start up with Start Page (when search field is disabled on the start page).

@Eggcorn said in Don't add spam to my start page:
That's an understatement! The problem is not that Vivaldi comes with bookmarks by default (I haven't seen anyone in this thread object to that). The problem is updates sometimes add bookmarks to your speed dial.
It happened for me few times on Snapshot in the past.
I don't care about any sponsored bookmarks and I remove them on every fresh installation (the whole default DpeedDial folder now)
Imagine a random site suddenly appeared on your SpeedDial? I would think maybe Vivaldi is compromised.

Hi,
Thanks so much for the positive response, I do realize that the vivaldi development team is rather a small group compared to other mainstream browsers like google chrome, etc. but with vivaldi when they do release a new setting or feature it's normally a meaningful one.
