Chromium for Android does not support Extensions, and never have.

Attempting to enable it would require hundreds, if not thousands, of individual patches that have to be maintained (we know, we tried, and gave up after several months).

AFAIK the Kiwi dev did do that task, but the dev has apparently not been able to update the chromium version for quite a while, probably because there are too many changes in the relevant code.

As for Edge, my guess is that they developed their own support for it from scratch (not based on the Chromium desktop code), which probably means there are compatibility issues with existing desktop extensions.

Extensions support should be added to Vivaldi.
This seems that will not happen, at least in a near future, so, an Extensions Manager is secondary on this scenario.

It seems that this is not quite true. If you click Cancel in this window, only incoming connections that were not initiated by the browser itself will be blocked. In this case, the web pages will open as usual.

I have it happening in Windows 10 like this:
If you install Vivaldi in a new folder and run it, the firewall window does not appear. It appears, if you go to a web page like this: https://lexica.art, for example.
If you go to another address, like this forum, the window will not appear, i.e. some sites initiate connections themselves for some reason.

@DoctorG also if not, then maybe allowing the intensify filter to work on fullscreen videos

@incconutwo Snapshots are usually quite stable... you must be very unlucky to have to app un-usable; also you can still update manually checking for any known issue in snapshot threads before updating.

@DoctorG , I am surprised to discover today that the "simpler" URLs existed since years ago! I never heard about them, unfortunately. Are they talked about anywhere? Where they mentioned in any conversation or discussion, after their creation?

I just created a feature request about it (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/96174/unique-download-urls-for-the-current-versions)... I hope my thread is not closed or hidden, since it mentions a few details that do not seem to exist yet, and I think they can be good. I will let their discussion happen there, anyway - I hope you or any other Vivaldi Team member do not mind.

Ah, then you can try to set it as start page.
No idea why but you can change it in Settings > Homepage
