Did you manage to fix the problem? Saving and then moving the image to Discord is getting tiresome, instead of just copying.

@pauloaguia The typical case for me is that I just want to be sure that I already downloaded the file, and in such case downloading it again without prompt does not help very much.

Inbuild features in the browser are desirable, but sometimes tools are better as desktop apps, because the offer infinite more possibilities as inbuild features or extensions.

I'm not programmer, but i think this would need a special more object for the same purpose (another object means less workforce on others features and maintaining) whereas reusing download panel as it is currently, with autorealignment (like web page) to get something similar (and why not better than the simple download bar), would satisfy everyone and more, and would have less code... This'd be a dynamic interface.

It's a pity Vivaldi didn't implement this during their 4.3 enhancements of the download panel.

Yes that sounds even better. And at the end of the drop list maybe a 'select folder' item.

I just switched from Firefox to Vivaldi, and this is the only thing I miss greatly so far.

For a browser with so many possibilities to customize everything, it is strange that this feature isn't implemented yet. I find requests for this going back 6 years.

Hope it is something the great Vivaldi team can put on their list and implement in the near future!

All it takes to open any downloaded file is to click the magnifying glass in the Downloads Panel, then double-click the file when it opens in your file manager.

I think that we already know this. This has been the only way to view some pdf through vivaldi. Though I never bothered going through the downloads panel. Since I have to go through the download saving windows already, I know where the pdf is saved.

After waited this feature for 2 years, I decided to DIY with CSS mod:

There is no need for anyone to justify the usefulness of resource sniffer and download capability options for Vivaldi. The fact is, we like our 'main' browser to mainly have tools and utilities that either match or distinguishes itself from the rest. Perhaps make this a bolt on option when downloading Vivaldi but to not offer it is, IMHO, an oversight. And if you stack enough of these oversights up, shortcomings which force users to seek solutions elsewhere then you are really asking to be replaced as the "main" browser, aren't you?

To those of you who say "just download a chrome app" I say we'll historically downloader apps haven't integrated seamlessly with viv..also, what about mobile? Right now I am forced tonise X-Browser on my android because it offers exactly this feature... and does it pretty well.
