I believe this is the default for Vivaldi installs. If it doesn't show for you I suggest a reinstall (without cleaning user data).

Some cleaner programs (CCleaner etc) will purge the folder used for this Windows feature and that might break the jumplists.

From what I understand the Automatic/CustomDestination folders are used for the custom jumplists, if deleted it will probably just show recent files.

Quite possible. I tried most of the others and this one was the only one not working. Not sure if it is your ambition to keep the original post up-to-date but you might apply strike-through font effect to number 13 if it also does not work for you:-).

@Gerodot1964 As far as I can tell, Tabs Session Manager can't import from Vivaldi session files. It would be useful for saving sessions/tabs, if Vivaldi would open with my previous session files -- but it won't.

It looks like I will have to just start again from a completely empty sessions. Which really sucks. At least Vivaldi seems to have preserved my history, so I can find a lot of stuff in there.

As a "power user" type browser, Vivaldi really should:

Have "session auto-save" switched on by default. Never corrupt saved session files. Be able to import sessions from its own saved session files!

@elvisvan One way to do it is to keep the old profile around with sync disabled, load it in a standalone and then have the settings windows side by side to input the shortcuts. Doesn’t take long, albeit I wish there were a way to clear all keyboard shortcuts in settings.

There is not really a solution as Vivaldi does not support MIME (Multipurpose_Internet_Mail_Extensions).
I would enable "Update Location ..." in Settings > Bookmarks and use Save As ... once, then all following downloads are saved in the same location.
If they are saved in \Windows\Temp\ the system should delete them at some point, restart system at least.
A regular folder make it easier to delete them in one rush, from time to time.

I don’t know what posts you read or what went wrong for you, but the obvious thing to check is whether the current session file is corrupted when starting up with last session. This can be fixed by deleting this file.

Opening downloaded files automatically is as bad idea as playing videos automatically. I hope they never add it, so we'd never have to turn it off back

I think I may have found a good-enough minimalist setup after a couple of hours experimenting! This blocks everything I care about, usually doesn't leave whitespace (and if it does, it's just pure blank space, not an ever-loading ad), and doesn't seem detected but adblock detectors I've tried.

Tracker blockers enabled:
big.oisd.nl (added)
EasyPrivacy (in default lists)

Ad blocking
Easylist Cookie list (in default lists)
big.oisd.nl (added)

Leave everything else disabled.

I'll report back if this has bad flaws, but so far, so good!

Yes, the website seems to be "fiddly" to say the least.

uBlock Origin makes it very clean.

However I still find it being the best image search I've tested by quite a margin, I even found it being highly recommended on a Reddit post about Image Search Engines, so it would still be desirable to use it.

A couple of things to add here. This is a custom text file saved as html file with these texts in ->
