I can confirm that the browser crashes upon exporting. Debian 12/64.

Also, Vivaldi can't reimport parts of its own exported passwords, specifically all imap passwords. Import was designed/implemented in Iceland and export in Singapore?

Problem appears to have something to do with loading extensions. I disabled all extensions and it worked. I started browser again and got a message that it disabled Adobe Acrobat extension. I opened extensions. and it had been turned off. Then I closed and restarted browser and same problem. So I manually disabled all extensions. I then enabled one extension (not the Adobe one) and browser still didn't work, but kept restarting the browser several times with one extension enabled and it finally started working. Re-enabled ALL extensions and now works. I am not sure if it was actually due to one specific extension since they all work now once the browser actually started showing pages again.

Well, I'm confused.
On Win10 x64 errors seems to be diminished. But on Win11 x64 with no troubles before, I've got itches to play with WorkSpaces on previous snapshot and … Vivaldi cannot start since then. Not after downloading new snapshot and install it over.
Guess I'll uninstall it and retry…

@Chas4 Vivaldi's setting is just a wrapper for the Chromium setting at:
chrome://settings/performance
And it was in Vivaldi several versions ago - just no setting in Vivaldi's UI.

The simple truth is - "nobody" will be able to tell you exactly how the memory saver Automatic mode works - unless you're willing to read the Chromium source code yourself. It uses heuristics to determine when to hibernate a tab, likely depending on your usage and your available system resources.

the error is visible even in the fact that resetting the filter raises Scrollbar to upper position. And your sorting has nothing to do with it.
If the bookmark you are looking for is in the middle of the list, you will spend so much time that you will find it yourself and without searching for Vivaldi

Seems Vivaldi only does not allow to load the content, because it uses HTTPS first. Differs from Chromium 124 and Edge 124. Sad.
I do not know if Vivaldi devs want to fix their security feature. As @Pathduck mentioned, my report could become "Won't Fix" 😕

As reported by numerous others, I also am crashing on startup, browser disappears into thin air. Can get it going with deletion C:\Users\iamwe\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Sessions folder, which is not ideal. I think some bug has been introduced somewhere, but cant help any further.

These ergonomics issues are highly individualized as to what the best position and movement is. Definitely agree with "should definitely provide a setting for toolbar placement". For lefties like me, the Vivaldi button and New Tab buttons are in the worst place imaginable: At the very top right of the screen. Because of the way I hold my phone I can't reach the top fifth of the screen without changing my grip. And then reaching over to the right side on top of that? Ain't happening.

Bottom right would be workable (I can reach that if I change my grip on the phone), but bottom left would be the best location. I don't think I've ever used the panels (bookmarks, history, etc.) on my phone during the year I've used Vivaldi's app, so moving that to the right side wouldn't be a problem (for me).

So an option to move the tab bar and address bar down would be a nice start, but there's not going to be true happiness from me until we can at least choose to "mirror" the toolbars for better left-handed access.

I second this! Even rearranging the buttons so they're clustered in the center would be far better than having the new tab button at the far right

They probably don't like people using parallell connections to try to game the system either... and you should not mess with experimental settings unless you understand what you're doing.

Si ce problème n'est pas résolu, avec la dernière verison 6.7 par exemple, merci d'essayer en configuration par défaut ou profil "Invité", pour lever le doute sur un réglage de Vivaldi (typiquement bloqueur de pubs ou extensions installées).

Oui, je connais bien ce site. La version 6.7 sortie hier corrige ce problème lié à une version récente de Chromium, qui n'est plus celle que Vivaldi 2.x utilisait, heureusement.

Très peu de travail a été fait sur les contacts et c'est peut-être car il y a peu de demande d'améliorations, donc ça ne coute rien de demander ou chercher des demandes sur lesquelles voter et les appuyer de commentaires argumentés...
