@gPassetti I do not remember correct when, but there was a issue with syncing history between devices.
I do not test import and sync of history much.

This also does not work for me. (Now almost four years later...)

I just reset the settings and still it doesn't work.

Vivaldi seems to focus more on new features rather than stability. Just lots of bugs.

Just tested at https://authenticationtest.com/HTTPAuth/ with user and pass.

Had you denied to store passwords?
Check Settings → Privacy → Passwords → Declined sites.

Is the site you visit connect by domain name with a https:// URL?

Same problem.

I use 1920x1080 but with custom scale.

@Pesala Thanks, Pesala. Yes, this does seem to be a function of how the site is coded since the desired behavior does work on other (most?) web sites. Thanks for explaining!

Thinking about it, what would work best for me is if there was a default forced single instance merging / de-duplication, meaning that only one instance of specific URL would be running through the processor and memory (unless somehow overridden).... BUT at the same time, it would be possible to have multiple tabs in multiple stacks in multiple workspaces all pointing to this single process / URL instance running in the background. Minimize the multiplication of processing the website contents but make it possible to feature it in multiple places in the GUI.

@khaibq Ok, then start Vivaldi first, when Welcome page comes up, hit Ctrl+W, exit Vivaldi.

Worked for me with fresh installed Vivaldi.
And after set as Default App in Windows f.ex. menu from LibreOffice opened Vivaldi.
