@foulke Additional comment: When you first sync the new machine's instance of Vivaldi, you will see in sync status: download:successful upload:successful or something similar to this. Then you will look at the UI of the new instance and see no evidence of this - no bookmarks, etc. Not to worry. In a few minutes after reported success, you will see the evidence in the new instance. It WILL show up, just not right away.

This is one. What was seeing is two locations where a home page can be set.

Under Tools>Settings there was one fill-in and under Vivaldi:\settings was a different screen where Home page could be set or turn the home button on. In fact the settings to turn on the home button was nowhere to be found.

In the end I did a reset of the default settings and rebuilt my preferences. That seems to have cured it for now.

I don't want to label this thread as "solved" because it is still somewhat ambiguous as to what the real issue. For now I'm functional again.

@debater The dialog is a "security feature" of the underlying Chromium code. It is stupid, and there are previous long threads about it, but it not something that Vivaldi developers can easily fix.

Thanks for the help. Deleting browsing data (specifically storage) fixed the issue. I was also able to fix it on my phone but had to clear the data from Android app settings.

@hdlivefree , this is clear, not all extensions works in Vivaldi, principally these which are related to the UI like this one, because several screens in mosaic is a own feature in Vivaldi. This is causing a conflict.

@heidi-hoh This is not a chromium bug.
Nowhere was guaranteed that Chromium related browsers create a PDF which contains text.

But in our days it is a shame for Chromium devs not having implemented a better PDF engine.

@u01234543210 If users and internal testers (like me) tell you, that your issue is a bug, you should report to bug tracker.

@tetrisoid Whoever made those pics with such high Y axis is an idiot that never had to deal with memory restrictions. My PC has 16gb RAM and the OS is 64bit, so I can render those images, but I can imagine with a 4gb/32bit windows there could be problems. In any case it's almost impossible to enjoy a manga if it's in that awkward format, they should really cut the pages in smaller pieces.
Said that, it's probably worth reporting the bug officially if on the same PC you notice the problem only in Vivaldi. Give the url only to the devs, asking for their discretion if that's a concern.

Disabling v-sync for the exe in nvidia control panel does not fix the render issue for me (1050Ti).
It is getting more and more annoying, it is messing with my eyesight...
