Yes, that worked in old Vivaldi.6.6.3271.61 Stable.

The use of flags, is not officially supported by Vivaldi.

From other posts on the Forum, some flags work in certain cases, and some do not.

Try Debian Stable: It is the most stable distribution and the least likely to face serious bugs (dealing with bugs when learning Linux is a nightmare!).
Or try a Debian Stable based distro, as Q4OS or LMDE, but you may face some additional bugs.
And use KDE: it is more friendly for windows users.

Apologies for the silence. I did a full upgrade of my system with zypper dup and the problem seems to be fixed. I'm assuming updating KDE Plasma did something to help, but I'm not sure.

The plot thickens again. I found if I delete the vivaldi directory, i.e., ~/.cache/vivaldi and let it create a new one, vivaldi starts stably and keeps running. So, somehow something got garbled in tumbleweed updates that altered something in .cache/vivaldi

I guess it is solved until it happens again.

@steamboateater I'm using openSUSE as well. I have not used this setting prior, but have enabled it to attempt to replicate any of this with the current Vivaldi Stable (6.6.3271.57).

This is what I see with the setting on. I am not able to replicate points 2, 3, or 4, but can replicate point 1. Please submit a bug report, provide all relevant information and post the bug report number (VB-XXXXXX) in this thread. I will confirm the issue.

Blocking accounts.google.com (via hosts file or adblocker) is problematic because I need third party login for some sites which are ethical enough to not show the popup. JSTOR is one.

I agree with @Pathduck. This popup needs ripping out of the browser. It's so easy to accidentally submit if you're clicking page or UI elements on the top right.

I am sorry no idea, I am not sure if the tracking lists gets updated if you disable/enable it on a page.
Anyway, this is the first thing I try if something strange happen on pages.

OK, i turned on hardware acceleration and deleted GPUCache.

Have you unlocked the Linux user's kwallet keyring?

To export: Open chrome://password-manager/settings , section Export passwords and hit Downlaod file.

Appears to have been the tracker block...
