Thanks @jane-n I should note its only the feed from the mastodon server that this bug is visible. The rss feed from my YouTube channel works perfectly.

Your activity on the blog is actually not in line with our Terms of Use:

Post content with the sole purpose of driving traffic and increasing the search rankings of another website, product or service.

So, I'd recommend stopping the redirecting and posting original content to your Vivaldi.net blog instead. 🙂

I tested creating a blog in Vivaldi on Android and then accessing it from desktop, but could not reproduce the bug you encountered.

While you're logged in and go to https://blogs.vivaldi.net what happens when you click "Write a new post" on the right side in the pale purple box?
Alternatively, you could go to your blog boobook.vivaldi.net and click on the "+ New" button on the black menu bar.

I did some more research into this, as I got curious... turns out you can use the (loathed) Block Editor for this, but you have to use the Embed block, not the Video block. Read more about this here:

As long as the site supports the oEmbed API, it will work just pasting the video url into the Embed block.

The Video block seems to require a direct link to a video (mp4/web-compatible) and does not handle oEmbed URLs.

I also notice your videos on Rumble are missing the Embed button, which should show up next to the Share button. This will give you an IFRAME URL for easy embedding.

You can add your own information there and discuss your NGO.

Using your own blog would be more appropriate than on the forum.

You can also use a mastodon instance if you prefer to microblog. You can access that from https://social.vivaldi.net/home

I tend to keep each image less than or around 1MB so it's OK. And you are right about the 1400px limit.

@mcastel Congrats on the move from wp.com! I have done the same. The major thing I miss is the ability for followers to subscribe by email ... and thus get an email for each new post. I have to manage a mailing list for that now, which is an extra step to fight the deliverability issues, but worth it to blog on privacy focused Vivaldi.

Thinking about it, if Vivaldi would create an email system for each blog post sent, it would help spread the word about the Brand more. Every time I open an email from a WP.com blog it has the WP logo and apps links.
