Is Vivaldi.net Really that Friendly Community Advertised?

@deneban I guess it was just an accident. No one is specifically targeting you.
They don't call me den-a-ban for nothing you know.

@deneban I've checked all traffic I have any access to from Jan 2 to Jan 14. Your name or your account are not mentioned. No one has reported you and apparently no one has taken any conscious action relative to you. ...
...
So it may actually be as much a mystery to the admins, as it is to us, what actually happened to your account. @marialeal is probably best equipped to investigate it, but it does not appear to have anything to do with the rules or procedures of the community.Maybe the blog module has an auto built-in periodic sweep bot that self-interprets spam for which it can then do the account ban in the background?
Since no one has come forward to claim there is a auto "spam-bot" in the blog module, I will have to assume an unnamed member of the Vivaldi Anonymous Support staff imposed my two week ban.

Hi @DoctorG She did post here 11 days ago but did not elaborate on the ban mechanism. I am guessing hopefully it takes more than a mere user report to ban an account.

It is mostly unusual to discuss on reports, spam filters and resulting bans or moderation here.
Spam filters can work erroreanous which may have happened for your blog.
I can understand that banning a blog for no reason is somewhat unjustified. I hope that will not happen again to you. -

On Vivaldi.net blogs we have an automatic spam prevention tool, we allow logged in Community members to report blog posts for review, and we (Vivaldi Team members) regularly scan resent blogs for potential spam. We won't elaborate on the details of how it all works.
Since your issue has been resolved and the account access has fully been restored, I'm closing this thread. Should you have any further questions, please contact us using the contact form on our help pages Help pages.
