@jahsera Yes, definitely. I was immediately very taken with his tutorial and implemented it right away.

There was a problem for me regarding the size of the custom buttons. But with some help I was able to solve it and even wrote a little tutorial about it.

I want this feature. I was working on my training workspace with a multi-monitor setup.

I also think that in my workflow it would be useful in a sense that sometimes I would like to save a named workspace and open when needed and then close again. Let's say I would have a workspace "work" and I would like to open this workspace during the day, work there and then close it. Currently I'm doing this thing with sessions but personally I would prefer to have named workspaces in one window rather than having multiple windows open.

I would like to say that sessions are pretty good and so far I'm more than happy how they work but being able to save workspaces and load them in current window when needed I think that would fit it my workflow really nicely

A memory-bar would be a great visual indicator.
There are some real estate on the status bar where I would love to see a memory bar telling me how much was hibernated and how much was in use. Could even visualize per workspace (color coding) as a next step.

@jakeparis I agree with you about ARC! I also hated that they decided for me when to close my tabs, (b.t.w they do not let you completely to disable tabs archiving - the longest time you can leave tabs before they being closed is 1 month) I also did't liked idea to completely get rid of Favorits (bookmarks). They hide extensions u have, don't have many tabs setting, overall interface is not convenient e.t.c. and worst part for me that browser become unresponsive with some (not many) tabs opened...
But the idea to have Spaces with Subfolders is still very liked by me...

Yes but these days with mostly wide aspect displays that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I changed the UI font to Arial 11.5px so I could see more characters per line; the default font eats horizontal space quickly. I'd like the option to change all the UI fonts and sizes to be built in natively.

Named windows would be a big plus for me. Expecially since I tend to have many tabs in each group. With my tab manager extension, each window can be named, and one can close a window but remember the tabs in it, for the next time the window is opened.
With named windows in Vivaldi, I could give Vivaldi windows the same name as my tab manager, which would help finding windows.
Named windows for my usage would probably be the equivalent to named workspaces for most users.
Now the windows are presented in Vivaldi with the name of its' current tab, which is often somewhat obscure. (and often very long)

Ok I understand that, but that is not my concern (and perhaps not the OP's). Let's be clear here, I think the post's title, "not displayed on Windows", and the post's text refers to Microsoft Windows, NOT windows as in Vivaldi's realm. Perhaps it should've been clearer (by saying MS Windows and version number) but to me it was obvious he meant MS Windows because of the capital W and the later text mentioning the Task Bar and Task View features which are found in Windows (versions 10 & 11 at least). That's why I think you are missing the point and why I say Off Topic, sorry if I offended you but this is a simple misunderstanding.

Now on topic, there's no way to name the windows (as in Chromiums right now) so that it will show up in Microsoft Windows' Task View and Task Bar ? If so, I'd really make the display of at least the workspace name in there a priority, so that it becomes accessible outside of Vivaldi.

Yes, basically. But it only serves no purpose if it's empty, and if you choose to leave it empty (i.e. you do all your browsing in a workspace). So it should be an option.

yes, i want that button to double as a visual indicator of the existence of any workspaces. so i want an option to hide it when no workspaces exist.

Hi, I would like this feature to be implemented as well.

The ability to move tabs using a right click menu to another Workspace from the Window Panel at the side.

Currently, we can only do so by selecting tabs in the Window Panel and shifting them. But with a huge number of tabs in the Windows Panel, it gets difficult to do drag and drop.
