@Aelius This browser is not so different in its development process. The developers do listen, but don't necessarily agree with their users. Like you, I am just another user. Moderators and Ambassadors are just volunteers who (at least try) to help on the forums. Vivaldi have a much smaller team than other major browsers.
If I thought like you, I might assume that the devs refuse to implement my Diagonal Gestures request, which is more than two years old and has 13 votes. This time-out feature request is less than a year old, and has just two upvotes. Upvotes have only a minor influence on what gets done, but they do give some indication of how many people support the idea.
The top 45 feature requests all have 75 votes or more, some have several hundred votes.
Attitudes can make it hard to adjust to the way things are. Testing and experimentation will often resolve what hours of discussion will not.
