Reader Mode Triggers Automatically
-
Hello, it would be nice if we have an option to trigger reader mode automatically as soon as a website is opened. It is a feature in Brave Browser called "speedreader" which automatically opens compatible websites in reader mode without activating it manually. For now, I have to activate it manually every time I open a website which is very inconvenient.
So, it would be nice even if it is given as testing feature to be activated by turning on by flag. I hope the team listens. Regards.

@yogianon Currently, Reader Mode seems to be enabled by domain in each tab. If I enable it on the BBC UK News website it remains enabled for all pages.
If they support reader mode, they will display the page in Reader Mode. If not, the page will be displayed normally. If I then open a different domain or the same domain in a new tab, Reader Mode is now disabled.
You could create a command chain to open any website, then enable Reader Mode.

@Pesala
Hi, I tested Speedreader feature in Brave, it does not load the page and switch to reader mode, it open directly in the reader mode.
The pages open so fast that I remember how fast text based pages were 30 years ago or using Lynx browser today.Cheers, mib

@Pesala This is exactly my point. It should work even if we open link in different tab. I am aware about command chain, but I open over hundreds of website everyday for my research and creating command chain is not possible since website are many times websites which I have not visited before. So, that's why I am asking this. It'd be great even if it is turned on as flag or something so that those who don't want that can simple turn it off.

@mib2berlin I know it may sound awkward, but reader mode is really nice feature if you do not want to get distracted while browsing, especially news websites.
