@NSSynapse I'm on the latest version of MacOS 10.12.2 Sierra and the latest snapshot, 1.7.725.3.
Some of the extensions include colorzilla, ghostery, stylish, rocket launcher, one note web clipper, all of the extensions I have tried essentially.

I,m on a iMac with 10.12.3 Beta (16D30a)

Still on beta, I,ve had this issue in stable versions too, Vivaldi loads in 5-6 seconds. Thats to much. Ram consumtion is a bit better with latest release, but still way over the top.
I guess it will be better with time, love the browser. Will keep using it 🙂

Take a look to see if this is already in the Feature Requests thread., then upvote it. I suspect that it is.

@HaaEnn - Do you use any extensions?

BTW, chess(dot)com works fine in Firefox. Not in Vivaldi.

Thanks! I have an "old school" style Composition Notebook. I now have a section devoted to Vivaldi.
It's always a good idea to keep the ol' comp book handy.

@NSSynapse, most likely. I have looked at the tick today and thought that I ask about it here. Thank you for clarification.

@Gwen-Dragon Not here. Did you maybe hit it when there was a site problem? I've been watching this phenomenon for a couple weeks.

And if there was a site problem, how would that explain Ctrl-Shift-R?

Yes, it's a bug for sure. In Opera 12.17 one can override the single-click to open bookmarks by holding down Ctrl to select individual bookmarks for copying, then use shift click or the cursor keys to select a range.

@rseiler To be quite honest, in my astonishment, I forgot to check.
It still does not alter the fact that this is very strange (to me anyway).
