I get the same screen on both views.
Didn't try on a new standalone as it worked fine before the update.
Sometimes also happen on the pinned tabs with wapp web, and changing UA fix it.
Worth saying is not the first time I have strange quirks with UA (had in past with FB video) and only the spoof or a chromium-vivaldi bump solve them 😕

//edit: Ok, now is working with desktop view while don't with mobile (VB-33103).
I think the whatsapp cookie was corrupted in some way.

Hi you are great and found the issue... It's related to hardware accleration. I use the propetairy nvidea driver. If I start vivaldi without hardware accleration, it works. So I connected vivaldi and whatsapp once without ha, now i can use it normal way....

Me too, every created a new web panel of [web.whatsapp.com] it's redirected to [whatsapp.com].

Tried to add its panel just now (I seldom use it) and it searches for favicon at https://web.whatsapp.com/img/favicon/1x/favicon.png

Yeah, it becomes blob:https/web.whatsapp.com/<blob unique value?> after restart also here. And favicon vanish.
It's not cleaner to use a js to change the img src value from blob to url than using a draft css? 😕
Well, in my case image wasn't hooked (probably my fault), but the css fix itself, prevent the url/blob change. nope.

@doctorg I've got it working now, may have been a bit of user error going on there.
I still had it open on a normal tab but it wasn't giving me an error about it so jumped the gun a little sorry!

It used to be worked before, it just suddenly redirected, but today without doing anything it's just worked again, probably something deals with the WhatsApp side i guess, but now i know the switch to desktop option surely it will come in handy next time, thank you.

@TrystanLund I am having this issue as well, but I don't see anywhere in settings to adjust the default character encoding. HELP!
