WhatsApp Web - QR-Code not loading
-
Hello guys,
I'm experiencing some issues with using WhatsApp Web in my Vivaldi Browser on Ubuntu Linux. I googled a lot and searched this forum as well, but did not find my exact issue.
I tried several solutions e.g. deactivating hardware acceleration and starting Vivaldi with extensions deactivated for web.whatsapp.com and nothing helped.
All I see is this turning loading circle as shown on the screenshot. Firefox Browser on the same machine does not have this issue. It uses the same Proxy server. (I assume, that Vivaldi uses system proxy settings.) The problem appeared out of the blue. A profile reset didn't help either.
Would appreciate any help. Thank you!

It may also be blocked scripts or cookies. Make sure you have allowed cookies and that they are being set.
And make sure Firefox is really using system proxy.

Thank you guys.
I checked all my settings and everything seems the way it should be. Cookies and JS are allowed. This is very strange. I just installed Opera on my machine to check and it has the same issue. Just the loading circle... And all browsers (incl. Firefox, which is still working) use the same proxy server.
I have a Virtual Machine on Windows 7 running. Windows-Vivaldi shows the QR-Code.
Would be glad, if anyone had another idea, but I know, that this is a very weird issue. -
Wow! I found it (in an Opera Forum)!
I left the SOCKS-section in my proxy-settings empty and reloaded the page. So the QR-Code appeared.
I'm happy!
