It seems all I needed to get it working was to right click the header (with home and close btns), and click "Show Desktop Version".
Then this works perfectly!
I am using on linux, but i'm sure it's the same everywhere.
@bbasmaci WhatsApp Web doesn't have a mobile version/view. If you want to use WhatsApp in a web browser, you have to use the full desktop version. I have set my WhatsApp web panel to "separate width" so that I can make it wide enough to fit the chat and the chat list.
@HealingCross It kind of works in the 2.6 snapshots: you have to press the "reload" button (not the home button) in the panel when you see the "please update chrome" prompt. Mildly annoying, but much better than not being able to use WhatsApp at all.
Sorry for the trouble, the team is looking into this issue. In the meantime please try this workaround that we share here: https://help.vivaldi.com/article/user-agent-spoofing/
It won't work on the web panel unfortunately. Thank you for being patient with us.
