Your wording was not incorrect, I am just a newbie and this is what I finally undestood you to mean:

Open Vivaldi browser, paste the following url into the address field in Vivaldi and then press Enter: chrome://settings/cookies

Yeah this method works. Switch it to show as a button and then you can right-click on the button and you will be able to remove it like you would with any other button.

For some reason, when it shows as a text box, you can't trigger the drop-down menu when you right-click.

@dtcusumano It strikes me that you could probably rename the "User Data\Default" folder (your primary profile) and then rename the profile folder from your preferred profile to "Default."

Just brainstorming, here...

I don't use multiple profiles so I'm not sure of the ultimate result of this maneuver, but assuming you have all the data you want in your preferred profile, That should be a harmless way to do it. Then if there happens to be data you wanted from the old, renamed "Default" profile, you could transfer it into the new one.

@mib2berlin, shortly after my last post I realized that the number of open Vivaldi windows or tabs doesn't matter, as I have been happily working with over 1000 open tabs every day. Vivaldi remains completely stable.
HOWEVER, as soon as I started working in google apps (e.g., gmail, google calendar, google contacts), it is only a matter of minutes until Vivaldi crashed.
I had to perform some activity, e.g., modifying the calendar date of a calendar item, or opening up a draft email to edit it. Most of the time, a few such activities in one of the google apps, performed in short sequence, would get Vivaldi to crash.
Since mid-February I have been using the google apps only in Firefox. (Absolutely no problems, there!) I haven't tried them in Vivaldi again.
THEREFORE, unless Vivaldi developers already tracked down and fixed the problem since then, I recommend the examine what is happening with those google apps. Could be that google, once again, is intentionally not playing nice with Vivaldi.

@saulmiranda I agree native is not descriptive at all. Btw, about workspace lost is quite known in stable. Until totally fixed you should save your sessions at exit and maybe enable the session panel experiment for autosave them at

Vivaldi really needs a way to backup settings though for keyboard shortcuts, syncing just doesn't cut it for people with multiple profiles that need to configure other profiles.

What would be great would be a little dropdown section of the bottom of the dialog page where the user can import or export to json or html or xml, whatever vivaldi decides on as a format, the settings of that page.

I mean sure vivaldi could just do a backup/import of all settings but then the user would need to be able to uncheck any sections he doesn't want to overwrite.

or actually even a kind of more power user way to do it.. would be some icon with a tooltip that explains what the icon is about and the user just drags the icon to explorer, and then a file with the settings for that page will be created there.. and to import settings the user does the reverse, drags the file onto a settings page.. this way export/import of all shortcuts (or other settings pages) would be easy. (and also not confuse users that don't need it)

I have had the same requirement: Use PDF-Xchange instead internal viewer.

Unchecked the option:
Use internal pdf-Viewer
like described.

Works fine.
I was asked open or safe dialog.
I click open and it is automatically safed into my default download folder and opens then automatically in pdf-X-Change.
