Great release with many cool features and fixes! However, please increase the vertical tab width limit! Right now it's at 330 pixels. It is really narrow for modern desktop monitors.

Hi, I hope the developer can fix this and it is not a OOM (Out of Memory) crash.
With 1000+ hibernated tabs I got 700 MB memory usage but maybe the Windows Taskmanager is to slow to show spikes above my 16GB RAM and Vivaldi crash.

Open panels are now showing up as tabs in the Sessions panel.
On one hand, I understand why this occurs, but on the other hand, this is polluting the list of tabs in the Sessions panel which I would like to focus on standard non-panel tabs. Perhaps panels could go into a collapsible category so that it doesn't clutter up the view?

Hi, a user report this but on macOS only, are you on macOS?
There is an archive but you will break your user profile with downgrade Vivaldi.
Is it possible to install Vivaldi as standalone on macOS?

For the Dark Mode:

I would like the forced dark mode to be deactivated on individual pages, that could be integrated into the corner at the bottom right as hacking via the “side actions” window, or in the URL on the right side with the “bookmark” and “qr-code” functions

@mib2berlin: Hopefully not... I don't think so, because after restart Vivaldi has very low mem footprint, even with so many tabs. Even as I write this, it has 2GB footprint, with 42% memory currently used overall. I do not use page file on this machine. That leaves about 9 GB free memory, I can't imagine a spike that big.

It mean you install an older Chromium version over the new one and Vivaldi always jump two versions.
Different database structure, session and extension management, for example.
Downgrade work at first view, all fine, but errors on your system could not reproduced by other user and nobody knows why.

Anyway, you can install older version as standalone, use sync to get it working or copy your default profile folder "Default" to the standalone until this bug is fixed.

This was only guessing, I forgot to enable hibernation once and a session with 700 tabs eat all my 16GB and it need 10-15 minutes to open Vivaldi.
I was curious because the crash happen exactly at a 1000 tab limit, with 900 tabs it does not crash.
Maybe you can clean up a bit.
We had a poll here some time ago and 8% of all Vivaldi user use more than 100 tabs, imagine how many use more than 1000 tabs.
But Vivaldi should never crash many tabs or not.

Can you elaborate on the other two? how do you integrate the extesions into webpanels?

Web panels still aren't synced, right? This has always been a (minor) annoyance to me. I'd like to have the same web panels across all my desktops, with hotkeys assigned to each one also synced. Ctrl+Shift+1 for Spotify, Ctrl+Shift+2 for Element, Ctrl+Shift+3 for Telegram, Ctrl+Shift+4 for WhatsApp, etc. Without it being synced, it's annoying to get it all set up again each time.

Hi and yes, I read to many posts to remember, I am sorry.
Two developers cant reproduce this on macOS, they mention one of your panels maybe does this.
The Vivaldi team cant test all pages in panels, no idea if this can be fixed.
If you have a standalone, setup your panels one by one.
I know it is some work but if you can find the webpage you can add this information to your report and the developer can test if this is a bug in Vivaldi or on the page.
