@harukamy フォントとは別口ですが、手元でメモファイルを210MBまで膨らましたところ、新しいウィンドウが開くたびに5秒ほどモタつく現象が発生しました。（同期使用・不使用に関わらず）
そちらに関して何かパフォーマンスチューニングができましたら、本件も改善する可能性がありますね。

I can't make those presentations public since they're owned by the company I'm working for.

I tried to open Google Slides also in another window with another user and the issue does not appear.

Unfortunately the developers have decided to mark this as "Will not do" for the moment. This is because the upstream chromium code controls font rendering and at the moment the developers do not have the resources to work on this.

If you want, you could make a request to the chromium project for this feature.

If you use the Stylus extension you can write style sheets for Reader View.

Tip for next time: just rename your profile folder, start Vivaldi and look it up yourself, far easier than checking for an answer concerning any default preferences.

Попробуй вообще отключить аппартное ускорение:
vivaldi://settings/search#hardw
Там внутри будет нужная галка.

У меня плыли шрифты после захода с магазин расширений или на практически любой сайт, где есть анимация. Данная штука помогла. Каких-то замедлений работы не увидел (видео не смотрю, так как комп рабочий).
