Mobile Browser Version
-
Interestingly, now we also know how many users are using Vivaldi and how many would be needed to even, the mobile version will certainly help in this.
-
@Folgore101 I advertise MusicBee in my signature and in the MusicBee Forum I promote Vivaldi.

Will the mobile version support keyboard shortcuts? 'Cause I have a physical keyboard on my phone, so I would love to use keyboard shortcuts. Currently, only a handful of browsers (excluding Opera, strangely enough) have support for that. I love Vivaldi on the desktop and would use the mobile version, but keyboard shortcuts are a priority for me
And if it won't support keyboard shortcuts from day one, is it at least present on the wishlist? (and if not, could it be added per this request?)

@Motionshot , a number of us want that, so expect that to work, at least in later versions.
Best,
Jon. -
@luetage The work is appreciated Jon, thank you so much for it

I doubt it. Phones with keyboard are pretty uncommon now. Request it here.

@Hadden89 , it is on my list. I prefer phones with keyboard and you have to remember that we are building a browser for those that want more from their browser, also on mobile. We may not have everything in the first version, but the goal is clearly to support stuff like this.
Cheers,

@OlgaA Just to mention I am currently trying out FF Focus on my FireOS. It is not perfect, not officially supported by Mozilla and some features are not yet fully working.
I could not install newest update I found on the FF site so I called Amazon support.
They said they would have their technical staff look into it "immediately".
I was skeptical to say the least but within a week they had the issue resolved and I was using the latest version.
I truly believe Amazon needs new, quality apps and would do whatever to help get a Vivaldi.apk (or an official Amazon Store Version) working properly. -
I really hope that when Vivaldi eventually gets released, it will be made available on the browser ballot https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2019/4/18/18484796/google-android-browser-ballot-screen-europe-screenshots?__twitter_impression=true
It doesn't look right missing the red v.

Oh yeah, I am SO looking forward to replacing that 'O' with a 'V' on mobile - even if I wind up having both until V fully stabilizes.

@MattSolo45 I read the apps on this list are choosen randomly for each user.

@jon Its about one year that we are waiting for android version (because of sync)
but you never say when beta version will be available for download
for gods sake specify the date
we are very tired of waiting
how we can be beta tester? -
@ea1386 Please read the previous comments by the Vivaldi Team and Sopranos, e.g. on page 10
modedit fixed link

@ea1386 The Beta of mobile will be available for download when it's good enough for general public testing.
Vivaldi never has and never will specify (or even guess at) production release dates.
We know you are tired of waiting, and we are sympathetic to your feelings. It will be out as soon as the developers can get it out.
The existing Sopranos (internal testers, mostly volunteers) are the pre-alpha and alpha testers. The general public, all who care to download and try the beta, will be the beta testers. As soon as a beta version is out, you will have the opportunity to explore it.
