Setting to Restore Pinned Tabs on Startup
-
Setting to restore pinned tabs on startup. Previously available functionality, now sadly defunct. There have been various discussions about this in the last year. Pinned tabs only survive a restart, if you start with last session, but in earlier releases they could be set to survive restarts, while normal tabs got discarded.
-
well, we pin them for a reason, right?

Pinned tabs are now restored on restarting Vivaldi 2.0.1309.42.
However, they are not restored on updating.
-
@Pesala I'm seeing this now - although I'm a new user to Vivaldi (a week). I have a Vivaldi session, I close Vivaldi and when I restart, my pinned tabs are not loaded.
Am I doing something wrong or is this functionality not provided?
TIA!

@emeyedeejay To restore tabs from the previous session now, one must use Settings, General, Startup with, Last Session. Either some features changed since version 2.0.1309.42 or this is a bug. See this recent thread.

Submitted Bug Report
(VB-56101) Pinned Tabs not Restored on Restart
-
@Pesala Thank you - hopefully a bug and not behaving "as designed" having a ton of last opened tabs open in order to have pinned tabs makes no sense. Thanks for logging.
