@kikihu Perhaps never. It is likely that the first public look will be the first beta release.

give some users like me as mvp group to test.wait too long time

@kikihu I am a private user who is a member of an MVP group. I don't work for Vivaldi. We are called the Sopranos (users who get access to internal test versions) and some of us are moderators as well. I think there are about eighty of us from around 20 nations who have access to test mobile at present. So that is what we are doing. We first got access to test versions of mobile two weeks ago, after it had been in development for more than a year. We understand that the development process is never fast enough for anyone, but it is going forward as quickly as it can, and public betas will be available as soon as the developers feel mobile is ready for that next step.

@Gwen-Dragon unfortunately unable to chat, getting following error "This user has restricted their chat messages. They must follow you before you can chat with them".
-
@Gwen-Dragon cool, thanks!

Hey guys, the mobile version is being tested by our current Sopranos. At the moment, the team feels that the efforts of the Sopranos are sufficient. If we find that we need the help of more Soprano testers, we will reach out to the community Thanks for your patience! The mobile app is looking good and we look forward to showing you the beta version.
-
@OlgaA That is great news, I really want to test it out if I get the chance. It's the only thing that make me go back to Chrome because I don't have the continuity from desktop to mobile. I need to know which tabs I have opened from work when I come home sometimes.
-
@OlgaA I would also like a chance to test this out on the Amazon Fire OS. Jon was kind enough to test the APK on his old Amazon Fire tablet. Even if it is too difficult to build an official Fire OS version, if the APK works on the newer models it would be a great feat.

open beta timeline?

@kikihu Vivaldi does not publish timelines. Sorry. I know people would like to have them, but in 25 years of software development, Jon or his companies have never offered them.

i have no wordsใ
-
@kikihu you do not have to be nervous. I'm also looking forward to the mobile version or at least the information when it will be its premiere and I get nervous and jump between browsers, for example opera (please do not beat me hahah) but I also understand that the developers of Vivaldi want to give us a browser that works the best and fulfilled our expectations and from version 2.0 my appetite is growing so that I can use such a "modular" browser on my mobile equipment.
-
This newspaper article has interesting news about Vivaldi for Android and the email client M3:

-
Interestingly, now we also know how many users are using Vivaldi and how many would be needed to even, the mobile version will certainly help in this.
-
@Folgore101 I advertise MusicBee in my signature and in the MusicBee Forum I promote Vivaldi.
-
Will the mobile version support keyboard shortcuts? 'Cause I have a physical keyboard on my phone, so I would love to use keyboard shortcuts. Currently, only a handful of browsers (excluding Opera, strangely enough) have support for that. I love Vivaldi on the desktop and would use the mobile version, but keyboard shortcuts are a priority for me
And if it won't support keyboard shortcuts from day one, is it at least present on the wishlist? (and if not, could it be added per this request?)
-
@Motionshot , a number of us want that, so expect that to work, at least in later versions.
Best,
Jon.
