Sync saved sessions

@turbo73 could you put that to eg. dropbox or google drive (for desktop) ? and call it up on another computer
-
I will +1 the usefulness of syncing saved sessions. It's actually the reason I decided to set up Vivaldi Sync after years of not using it - doing a bunch of research on my laptop and realizing it would be nice to continue it on my desktop which is connected to a larger monitor. Rather than bookmarking 42 tabs, I figured I'd just save a couple windows as sessions and sync them.
Like kevinfreels, the URLs and order of the tabs would be more than adequate. In the unlikely event that the server goes down by the time I load the session on the other computer, I can live with that.
Though for now followed the advice of Pesala and turbo73, and e-mailed myself the session files to unzip on my desktop. Which really isn't too bad... not quite as modern as I'd hoped, but I would have been doing just that in the Opera 9.2 days, or more likely transferring it via flash drive, and it still gets the job done.

That's +1 for me too

@Zkillah Alternatively, you can simply archive your sessions and send them to yourself by email or on a USB stick.
- Standalone Path:
{installation folder}\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Sessions\*.bin

@anasdsn There is also this option:

Thx, I found where is the session storaged!
-
Wow, I was so sure this was a feature... before leaving the office for Xmas I saved a stack as a session to reopen at home (it was present ideas!), and it was nowhere to be found when I got at my home laptop!
It would seem so obvious to have...

Yeah, talk about syncing and automation I could also call my wife at home an read the URLs out for her
-
@gryzor You could, but it would be a lot easier to unzip an archive.

Yes, but that does not answer the question. My issue is not how to get the URLs from here to there (It's easier to save the stack as bookmarks, then boom, it's synced, rather than moving files around) but how to sync them...

Yes, but that does not answer the question.
That question has been answered in a previous post:

@jsumners Sync is under continuing development. Sessions potentially take up a huge amount of space on a server. An efficient solution for this has not yet been arrived at. Something like a list of URLs for saved sessions may eventually be incorporated.

Yes, over TWO years ago. And I say, what? Still no go?
-
@gryzor Not yet. All things come to him who waits.

Did you try clicking the cloud icon, at the end of the tab bar?
It shows me the tabs I have open in other devices (as long as you have sync configured to synchronized tabs, of course). Still need to open them one by home, but at least they're somewhere to be found
-
@gryzor @pauloaguia
Hi, you can use "Open All" at the end of the pull down menu, you have to scroll down if you have a lot of tabs open.Cheers, mib

Not really. There is an option at the bottom of each list of open tabs from another device to "open all." If you do this, it opens all of these tabs as a new session in a new window.
