Download/Fetch of messages not working

Download/Fetch of messages still not working in full and overall confusion about what is happening
So, recently I installed vivaldi stable on a new work machine. I set the mail client to fetch all messages and all seemed fine until I start to get error after error and have no option but to pause the process on the little dialog box appearing on the mail panel:
The errors are:
And now the "funny" part of this. So if I resume the process I get:
So 1140 messages to fetch and that number will stay as is (it was much more before) and at the same time the error log increases with the errors shown above.
I then pause the process again and go to the account in the panel and select one of the imap folders. I scroll through the message list of the imap folder in search of messages where the preview is not generated/appearing, so empty two lines after the subject. Just scrolling to them, so no need to select the message itself, makes the previews appear after a few seconds and in the status bar the applying filters message also appears after the previews load. Maybe some prefetch is being done even if no message is selected...And voilá:
Of importance that I changed the fetch synchronize option before doing this procedure so vivaldi would only fetch open/selected messages bodies. Despite that, the number decreased suggesting that the message was fetched at the time or was already there. I also tried the advanced menu on that imap folder with both Update Filters and Re-Synchronize with Server and both actions proceeded without error but did not solve the issue nor decreased the counter. Just scrolling through the message list did decrease the counter...
Anyway, after many hours on this I could reduce the counter no 9 non-fetched messages. I found 6 messages that consistently do not get downloaded/fetched from the server. All 6 have attachments. I labeled those 6 messages and can confirm that those same messages exist on my snapshot instance on my previous work machine. As such I will guess it worked some time in the past and stopped working after... I ended up setting one year in the synchronization account option since it stops the errors and makes the client able to download new mails.
This and my previous thread:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/101627/filter-creation-problems-still-present
present my experience in setting up a single account from scratch, a painful experience may I add considering that vivaldi mail 1.0 dates to 2022.

@Durtro I had an issue with messages that had an empty body (reminders where the subject contained all inf). Apparently my provider's mail server had a process that crashed when the respective messages were called by Vivaldi for download. After I had deleted all those messages from the server (I sorted by size to find bodiless emails), things were fine. There are known issues regarding socket errors... I think Vivaldi is a bit finicky when there's a server side issue.

@WildEnte the provider in this case is gmail (it is a business account) but as I said those same messages were downloaded by two separate snapshot instances of vivaldi in both linux and windows . I can't be sure that it is only vivaldi problem but the problem remains.
The 6 messages I found were between 2019 and 2021 so those snapshot instances downloaded those messages at the time. Unfortunately I can't just copy them from one instance to the other...
In this case I also think vivaldi could also be more useful if it allowed a filter for non fetched/downloaded messages for easy finding of the affected messages.

So I tried something. Since my snapshot installation had those 6 e-mails I found, I saved them to eml files. I then created a private/offline account on the vivaldi instance that could not download the mails and imported those eml to both received and sent of the new account accordingly.
Vivaldi then mixed them together since the mails now show a body despite still not working (selecting them still fills the mail log with errors). In conclusion, I can now see a mail body in both the newly created private/offline account (to where the mails where imported) and the already existing gmail account that couldn't download the message body. Funnily enough selecting the mails in the offline account used for importing the eml files also results in the error log being populated.
-
@Durtro interesting, so there is something about those emails that causes an error even if they are imported... Could you (after editing and redacting sensitive information) add those eml files to a bug report?
-
@WildEnte I don't think it is the emails in this case. Clearly they can be imported directly and without a problem via eml files. The problem is only on fetching the emails through imap. I guess that vivaldi client simply knows that it never fetched them for the affected account despite associating the imported email of the offline account.
-
So latest stable and the problem remains:
That zero never advances and the download process goes into a loop:
The mails exist in the server (gmail with corporate domain address) and all 6 messages I found with the problem are messages with attachments. As mentioned before those same messages were downloaded on older snapshot instances.

Since my mail went crazy (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/101853/mail-went-crazy/2) in my linux snapshot I finally took some time and added my e-mail accounts on a stable instance of vivaldi in that same machine.
The six messages I found that don't get fetched in my windows stable installation were fetched just fine. Still have the synchronization option to just one year so I can't be sure it will work for all messages but I will guess it will Since those are two distinct machines in to distinct places (work and home) and using two distinct os (windows 11 and linux) I really don't know what the problem is but I can't say it is on vivaldi's side.
Labels are still a mess:
