@Pathduck No, MediathekView is open source and may officially offer the services of the public media libraries. With the free extension Hoxx VPN
I was able to bypass the country lock and could watch Babylon Berlin from Sweden (Finland does not offer Hoxx)
For example: The German ZDF magazine Planet E. also offers its reports in English
Many other German TV shows also offer their programs in English. If I can think of more, I will publish it here.
May I humbly add my opinion to the matter: STFU and add the music player... As the OP mentions OPERA browser is currently the only browser which supports this feature... As vivaldi is created by the original OPERA browser creators and I would say a large portion of Vivaldi's new and existing user base are users which have migrated from OPERA for whatever reason, it makes perfect sense to implement the features the user base has grown accustomed too. I felt the need to log in and reply, as I have the same request as OP.
And for the record iOS supports chromium based browsers on the app store so that can't be used as an excuse for not having an available iOS version any longer.
@iAN-CooG said in Automatically un-mute tabs that were playing when using "Prioritize active tab" option:
As for now, you can set keyboard shortcuts to quickly mute all other tabs than the currently active one, and unmute all tabs, so it's just a matter of learning to press a key whenever you need it.
You can certainly set keyboard shortcuts or mouse gestures to unmute all tabs.
But it doesn't work if there are more than one windows open. When I play spotify in one window and I have sound going on in another window, spotify stays muted. Doesn't matter if I try via mouse gestures or keyboard shortcut. I have to open the window with the spotify tab in order to get the gestures/shortcuts to work.
As I said before, if the devs just didn't fuck around with the Prioritize Active Tab all of those issues would be resolved.
I mean, the option even implies some sort of ranking order in which sound is muted/played, not just a simple on/off.
