Hm, the blue border is a new feature, it add the highlight color from your theme.
This is on Windows 11.
I did a clean install and everything works fine. Thank you.

Are there any differences with the Opera sidebar extension api and the Vivaldi sidebar extension api? Also, do you have any intention to create a addons.vivaldi.net site to offer a meaningful alternative to the chrome web store, addons.opera.com and addons.mozilla.org? In addition, do you intend to provide an option to let vivaldi install extensions from Microsoft edge addons and addons.opera.com by having vivaldi tell those sites that it is microsoft edge and opera for desktop respectively.

@Zalex108 After I updated to the latest version yesterday setting the chrome://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure flag does solve the issue, but I suppose without setting this I should get a message warning me for an insecure download, so still a bug no?

@hannes-s That is a Vivaldi 6.6 bug with UI!
It should show a popup warning, like Chromium 122 does with unsecure downloads. -
[Tabs] Created inside pinned stack can’t be closed (VB-103499)
This is sooooooooo annoying. I have Gmail pinned. Now every time I click on a link in an email it pins this tab and I need three steps to close it:- remove tab from stack
- unpin tab
- close tab
I DON'T WANT TO STACK-PIN EVERY LINK I OPEN FROM AN EMAIL!!!
And I don't want to set "allow pinned tabs to be closed" because the only purpose of pinning a tab is so that I don't accidentally close it! -

This is already fixed in an internal version.
You cant get this faster into Vivaldi stable if you shout in the forum.
First internal tester, then published in a snapshot, then stable.
I don't use stacks, I use workspaces, so I don't even noticed this issue. -
On top of the regression with the folders always collapsing in the Add Bookmark dialog popup, there is another strange behavior when creating a new theme. Instead of making a copy of the actual theme you are using it defaults to the Vivaldi theme. If you delete it and try again, it makes a proper copy of the the current theme

I just noticed, that some of my tabs getting reloaded when I visit them after some time (few tens of minutes). I don't want that. I have never setup periodic reload, hibernate tabs or whatever else resource saving features. I can't find anything in settings regarding tab hibernation.
Observation: seems it happens on tabs with Bing search only (for now).

Wonderful stuff. Keep up the great innovations, but we users are never satisfied are we? Reading your 6.6 release email on my desktop, I immediately changed the setting to enforce dark mode. Nothing happened. Ah, but it does work on other tabs. It seems that reading MAIL is not technically browsing. Do you think you could persuade your devs to work how to apply a dark theme on Mail reading, please?

@Miikl Change you Vivaldi’s theme for a dark one, or close your Mail tab and open it again: the “force dark mode” change will work on the mail client after that.

There's a very fast flashbang when starting the browser with this version, noticable ofc when using a dark theme.
This is not happening when using Wayland instead of X11 (obviously with --ozone-platform-hint=auto or =wayland)
