Custom Filenames for Screenshots
-
Save screenshots with user defined filenames + date / time stamp not random names like 0377b013-a0fb-4d94-96fb-348f0c9a237b.png
-
I add a suggestion of name styles from my old requests:
%y: Year, %m: Month, %d: Day
%h: Hour, %n: Minute, %s: Second
%c: Number
%u: User Name, %w: Computer Name
%t: Unix Timestamp
%T: Title of the web pageExample:
Image %c %Y_%m_%d - %u
Image 000 2017_08_20 - cheve11e.png -
Might I suggest something similar to this
-
@altcode I think CheVe11e_191 covered most of it already, but a default setting would be needed such as you suggested:

-
FYI, this request is internally under VB-31991
-
@slitkx Please see Implementation of Feature Requests
-
This feature is now available in the Snapshot version of Vivaldi: https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/better-naming-for-screenshots-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1430-4/.

Capture Page pop-up now works well but perhaps also a simple text box at the bottom to accept characters to be added to the filename?
I'm doing genealogical research and it would be useful to link a "capture" to a ID on a record. -
@nedab You can type any text you need in the Capture File Name Template field.
-
@pesala Yes you can. But Im suggesting adding the box at the bottom of the Capture Page popup when deciding, full page, selection, PNG, JPEG etc
-
@nedab Then you need to start a new feature request.
