More convenient way to replicate customizations after refreshing profile
-
The advice given for many problems reported on the forums is that it may be due to a corrupt profile and the user is advised to try refreshing the profile. However, replicating customizations after refreshing a profile is extremely troublesome since the user is supposed to avoid copying files from the previous profile and instead replicate previous customizations within the browser itself. It would be very helpful if it were possible to output a text list of the customizations made:
- Vivaldi settings
- Chromium settings if possible
- Flags adjusted
- Extensions installed (preferably with link to Chrome Web Store address)
- Web panel addresses and settings (preferably with an option to output and input the width of a web panel so that one does not need to readjust the width of every web panel by hand again)
etc.
and also have the ability to export and import notes, sessions etc. so that it is possible to export and import user data piece by piece to check that each piece of data is not causing problems. -
@valiowk I think all of this is covered in existing feature requests, such as:
Export/Import for User Settings
There are other threads for Exporting Notes, Flags, etc. Please upvote them. If you find anything missing, maybe edit this thread to focus on what is not already requested elsewhere.
If you add this link as a web panel you can easily search for other feature requests simply by changing the search string from "Export" to any other term. Enclose more than one word in quotes to search for a precise phrase.

@Pesala The worry is that when the data is exported, it is exported in a corrupt form. This is the reason why I'm requesting text lists instead, so that in the worst case all that's involved is a large amount of selecting options and copying and pasting, but one can be confident that the data being copied and pasted is not corrupt.
