Create Notes from drag and drop - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.8.755.3

@ayespy: I know you can't give ETAs, but can you give something if it is in discussion, active development, bug squashing (testing)?
-
@aronand: Thanks! Vivaldi is now so stable and usable that mostly any changes are bonuses. The updates are treats. Have a super weekend.

@Turandot I see no Reader View button here in the URL field. The site is not designed to work in reader view. Sites that are will show the icon.
If you select the Reader View from Page Actions on the Status Bar, it may do nothing, or it may not work as you hope.

@Reinaque said in Create Notes from drag and drop - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.8.755.3:
Reader mode not working here. The button appears but nothing happens when I activate.
Could you give a website where it's not working? I've been using it daily for many sites with no problem.

@Pesala
The first site you link is a video, the second site is an index/overview/main site, so both don't work (and shouldn't) with reader view. The third is an article and works.Of course? Not so much, reader view isn't perfect yet, there are sites which contain articles and yet reader view is disabled, but they work with conventional bookmarklets like readable. And no customisation options available yet, there is much that can be done with it, but at the moment it's not really reliable.

@luetage Here's a great article on the Reader's View mode - it explains why it sometimes doesn't work like it's supposed to...
-
@luetage Also: 5. (Burmese) almsfood such as rice offered to monks, hopefully before midday.
-
@pafflick I already read that. Point is the reader view in Vivaldi is currently not as good as others, mainly because not much work has gone into it so far. When Vivaldi released the addressbar button, they didn't change any underlying code.
-
How long i must wait till you add so simple function like "suggestion search from address bar"? HOW LONG???
-
I wrote about this 2 years ago... and still nothing.
-
@Smorvel: Search suggestions work here. What search are you having trouble with?
-
@ayespy: here my old screenshot https://monosnap.com/file/Cgr667u6foi2OHkTMtPXYDrXoAm8Pn.png
Now is nothing changed. And yes, I enable it on settings, but it do nothing. -
@Smorvel: So Google is your default search engine? Go to settings/search and hover Google. At the end will be three circles, and the middle one is a pencil. Click on that, and you will see the Google URL, plus a blank for Suggest URL below that. Enter the address: https://www.google.com/complete/search?client=opera&q=%s into that blank and save your edit. Close settings. Search suggestions should be working.
Vivaldi (due to contract and licensing restrictions) is not ALLOWED to fill in that address. But you are.
-
@ayespy: it's sad..
I want search only by using address bar. -
@Smorvel: Well - why don't you? It's what I do.
-
@ayespy: I'm not sure that I good understend you.. So here another screenshot - http://take.ms/vOOJB
-
@ayespy: I finally got it! Suggestion is work now!) You're Ukrainian translation browser elements is very bad, so I not get what i must to do first.
-
@ayespy: Can I ask one more thin? When you make this work? https://monosnap.com/file/uOW1hF5kuaY6JcGxIpw2DcOig8iyS5.png
