Create Notes from drag and drop - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.8.755.3
-
@gaelle -- Hi Gaelle -- yes, that's exactly what i suspected when i read it... & i was deliberately being a bit cheeky when i singled that "feature" out. Teehee.
-
@Aronand I had a standalone version of Vivaldi stable in a different folder. To make sure that this is not the issue, I deleted that folder completely, also deleted my updated Vivaldi installaion + its application support folder and copied over Vivaldi snapshot 1.7 + support files from a backup from 2 days ago.
Then I clicked check for update, and when the download is finished and I restart, my Vivaldi snapshot is on 1.7 stable instead of 1.8 snapshot. I tested this two times. What else can I do? Is it possible that my standalone installation of stable messed with my snapshot install? That would be kinda weird...

"Tab Muting: Prioritize Active Tab" is really great! If you're using ONE window, works fine, but if are two windows, no. Wouldn't be better if be "priorize GLOBAL active tab"?
-
Nice, many thanks ! Also thanks for Let Clear Private Data dialog remember state, improving History panel and more options for Muting tabs
-
@dleon: No, man. I'm sugesting another option: priorize active tab in ALL windows, no just in the current windows. Test it. Open two windows playing songs and see what happen.
PS: Two WINDOWS, not two tabs in the same windows.

@Aronand
Ok, I can confirm this issue seems to be on my end alone. I deleted my whole Vivaldi folder from application support on 1.7 snapshot. Then I restarted and tried the update again and it works this time. I went on to copy the old Vivaldi folder back after that, I hope this doesn't mess things up too much ...lΓΌl... -
Thanks for the new snapshot...
Here are some modifications that I think will improve Notes:
-
Ability to Copy notes content by "Ctrl + C", right now "Ctrl + C" doesn't work for notes and right clicking on them and selecting "Copy" just copies the URL not the note...
-
Ability to Copy multiple notes just by selecting them and hitting "Ctrl + C". In Opera 12.x this used to copy all the notes content and separate them using a newline separator (maybe two line separators would be also good)
-
Option to add notes with "Full page screenshots" or just "Viewable Area" screen shots. right now it only adds "Viewable Area" screenshots. This is needed when we want to keep a full page screenshot (like a blog post) along the important note and unfortunately right now we can't bind a fullpage screenshot with a note.
-
-
@neltherion -- what OS do you use? In Linux, i can copy my Notes content just fine, both with right-click context menu, & with Ctrl-C, once i've selected what i want. I didn't even realise this was apparently a problem for some people.

and last but not least, dev teams can retired now the old History. New History in the Making in the good way now. Hope this will be make a History when a 1.8 goes final.
and one more thing...
you dev team can create new internal page for Downloads section with the option support multi threading for downloads k.

Only let the active tab play sound
mixed with whitelisting tabs would be great.like i have music player in my pinned and allowed to play sound tab, most of the time im just listening to music
but when i have it paused and just browse the net - i want only current tab to make sound UNTIL of course i have some great youtube lecture which i want to mark as allowed and let it play in the background.
having current tab making sound while im listening to background tab isn't much problem
going to settings each time i want to let my music player play, then going there again and switching it again is more troublesome
oh, and
Let a background tab keep playing sound, as long as the active does not
won't work as I don't want all background tabs to play, when I'm opening 30 articles from some news aggregator I don't want them to make sounds randomly, while news aggregator itself isn't making a sound -

Selection of text in links is much easier now.
Wow finally. Text selection is one of the most annoying thing in chromium engine.
-
Bug: When "Grayscale tabs when hibernated" turned on, it doesn't grayscale every tab when I click "Hibernate Background Tabs". It only grayscales the tab I clicked on.
-
Is anyone else experiencing a bug where <any> mouse gesture performed on the speed dial page triggers the context menu? I used to see the occasional context menu while performing gestures, especially on the speed dial, and seeing VB-20200 listed had given me hope that it was fixed for good. However EVERY gesture seems to trigger a context menu for me on the speed dial right now
Anyone else with this issue, or is this known? (Win10) -
@d0j0p: Also, I don't even have the option to grayscale tabs when hibernated turned on anymore, but when I hibernate a tab, it grayscales for a second, and then turns back to normal.
-
@xan_: I see that once in a while. Pretty annoying.

Let Clear Private Data dialog remember state (VB-25581)
but the All tick sections don't not recognize when un-tick is operate, it is not clear option state of data per se, but when click that personal one by one they do it fine, properly.
