@luckyowner Sounds as though your Login Data file got corrupted. In such a case, you should not re-use it, but rename/remove it and start over with a fresh one.

@kimoo It can fit longer titles for each entry and you can mark them as read. If you don't think you'll use it, you can hide it by right clicking on an empty part of the panel and clicking reading list.

I believe I've got this too, but also I might (keyword: might) have found a workaround until it's fixed: it seems to start and shut down instantly rather than not starting at all, and if I start it again before it completes the shutdown... it will work.

@pathduck The bookmark issue (and not only) occurred to be Vivaldi-profile-related. It is fixed now, but now I need some help with restoring settings (particularly those mail-related - https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/74044/way-to-restore-all-mail-settings-from-vivaldi-profile-folder-backup-copy).

Oh, i can confirm a issue with Copy to Clipboard, i get approximately 5000 Pixel height on a tested web site.
I will investigate more.

As i know the capture height has a maximum, but 5000 px is definitely too small.

Thanks for responding everybody. Today I turn on the computer and ther rename function is working! I have vivaldi 5.2.2623.26 says it is up to date.
I tried everything that was mentioned as a Fix to no avail. I did install Bitdefender a couple of days ago. Turned it off last night, and today, all is well. Yesterday, turning it off and on and shutting down and restarting did nothing. The mystery is not solved, but I am happy.

Okay, so I disabled all extensions and started re-enabling them one by one and found that the culprit is this Chrome extension called "Open link in same tab". The funny thing is I had this extension installed and enabled for many months now and this issue with Settings window opening in a new tab never happened before.
I guess this can be disregarded and not classified as a bug.

"Plus" page? "Bookmark pages?" These are not English Vivaldi terms. There may be a translation issue.

Are you talking about Speed Dial and Speed Dial links on the Speed Dial page? Your uploaded image makes it look as though you may have specified an unreadable image to be included as a speed dial link image on one of your speed dials.

mmmm, i toogled to not floating panels, clicked one icon to open a panel, clicked again to close the panel, the sidebar sticked there, and toogled again to floating panels and the sidebar sticked there... don't know if this is the intended way to go, but it was confusing.
