@josbell It wouldn't be possible to install the desktop build on android. The closest you could get is to use the linux builds. I'm not an expert in running linux on android devices, but I think there are very technical ways around this. But it wouldn't be easy.

I can confirm that the menu will stay visible if you switch a video into full screen mode, while viewing a desktop version of a website.
I compared full screen mode with Chrome as well and there it's the same, so it could be intentional to keep the menu visible.

Ok, so it definitly happens on more curious (intrusive) websites.

Due to the lacking extension support at this stage I mostly use Vivaldi Mobile for sites that I like and trust when on the go. At home I block Ads using Pi-Hole.

So out of curiosity I just went to welt . de, a news website belongig to a German publishing house with great power and little morals and the rather large amount of cookies and trackers you would expect from a site like that, and what do you know? The Google Play Services Notification appears.

If it helps I can give you a query log from my Pi-Hole, showing which domains are blocked when visiting sites like that. I will do some experimenting over the next couple of days and try to gather some reliably documentation on when exactly this happens.

But as I said, it happens on other Browsers as well, so it might just be a Chromium or even Android (which you can probalby never completely de-Google...) related issue.

Btw: Nice to see the chart about Vivaldis popularity on the appbrain link you provided. Seems to be a good start 🙂

@JoaBravo You're right. When I see people in the public transports busy with their touchscreen devices and I see me with my paper rectangular parallelepiped 📘 , I feel I don't live in the same world...

@spectatorx I don't see the image flashing, but I do get some strange behaviour which prevents me from scrolling smoothly. If you report this bug, I'll confirm it internally.

Did you try to capture the home page, or some article page?

EDIT: So after I tried visiting the home page in that tab and went back to the article, it captured the whole article. Still worth considering adjusting the "Capture page" feature to prevent future errors like that IMHO.

@robdam1001 Perhaps you could use system-level profiles in the meantime as currently individual profiles are not supported.

When you click in the address field, a drop down appears with two rectangles overlapping. Click on this and the URL is copied

@e-ninger The list of URLs is original Chrome's action AFAIK. The version info should be at vivaldi://version (AFAIK, again).
