Vivaldi built-in start page overrides extension with new tab at browser launch

Chrome extension downloaded from Chrome web store can override the new tab page.
Vivaldi allows the custom new tab page be shown at creating new tab, however, after closing all browser windows and start Vivaldi again, the default built-in start page is shown instead of the new tab page controlled by extension.
The 'Controlled by Extension' option is on but the built-in start page is still used at browser fresh start. The start page should respect the extension as the default behaviour I guess.

@dandeancook Is more a (known) bug than a request. Is what the settings do. Btw, I'm testing FVD Speed Dial and it works fine most of the times. Sometimes, when I change a setting in the extension, the Vivaldi Speed Dial is drawn behind it but no other kind of issues. Other addons may have other glitches.

@dandeancook Which Vivaldi version are you on?
On snapshot 5.8.2936.3 I still see the overlap issue with FVD but only when I change a setting in the extension. Startup or new tab works fine. -
