For some reason, when blocker is set to "block trackers (default)" it prevents comments on yahoo news from loading. I tried deleting cache and cookies and Im on the latest version.
It started happening few days ago by itself.

        Hi,
        Welcome to Vivaldi's Forums! 😀

To try to fix this you have to check the Lists.
        https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/privacy/tracking-and-ad-blocking/

        Manage Sources

Those lists are 3rd Party maintained, the most you can do is Untick/Tick to Update them or find and disable those preventing the load by disable all and enable one by one til find the problematic entry.

A Yahoo change would be pending to apply in the AdBlock list to work fine.

You can also try on a Clean Profile to ensure about.
        The basics.

        Step #3

When I click on "View Comments" in Yahoo no comments appear, I get a blank spot where the comments should be.
This was working just fine about two weeks ago. I made no changes to the settings.

Confirming this problem, with 5.6.2867.58 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit).

Just noticed this, today. Was fine a few days ago.

Sample link: https://www.yahoo.com/news/shadow-race-replace-george-santos-095205461.html There will be an icon at the end of the article (View comments). Once this is selected, white space appears instead of the comments. No Yahoo login required.

Also not seeing the comments in Snapshot 5.7.2901.3 (Official Build) snapshot (64-bit), but running the same link in Chromium 109.0.5414.74, displays the comments.

                Vivaldi on Linux:
openSUSE Tumbleweed and Slowroll (Xfce 4.20)
Fedora 42 and Rawhide (Xfce 4.20)

                Android (10)

Vivaldi user since 2016. Thank you to all Vivaldi users.

I have to disable the Vivaldi Ad blocker to see the comments with the shield icon in the address bar.
Maybe one of the block lists changed:

@mib2berlin Chromium has the µBlock Origin extension installed, which is allowing the comments to be displayed.

Looking at the Ad Blocking Sources enabled (box is checked?), ABP anti-circumvention list and EasyList were updated on 19 January and the entry Allow ads from our partners (support Vivaldi) was updated just now, 20 January.

Unchecking these entries, then checking them again, automatically updates them, but the comments still do not appear. Unchecking all of them (ad blockers fully disabled?), still results in the comments not appearing.

@mib2berlin Confirming disabling it via the address bar (which disables it for the current hostname displayed), causes the comments to be displayed. This also carried over to a private window, where the comments were also displayed.

Conversations on Yahoo Finance won't open. I have to go to - phooey! - MS Edge or something else to see it.

PS It is so rare that I have ever had a problem with Vivaldi!

Hi, some user report issues on Yahoo but with comments, this could be solved by disabling the Vivaldi ad blocker with the shield icon in the address bar.
                                          May you check this.

                                          Cheers, mib
