Integration of var. accounts
-
I'm struggling to make things work for the different acconts I hold.
- personal imap account "name@domain.tld"
- personal caldav/carddav account "name@domain.tld"
- legacy outlook.com account "name@outlook.com" (email + contacts + calendar)
- professional office365 account "name@company.tld" (email + contacts + calendar)
- All this on Windows PC and Android phone
In an integrated environment I would hope to be able to:
- to fetch and send e-mails for these three mail accounts
- use, edit and create contacts for these three contacts accounts
- use, edit and create calendar events for these three calendar accounts
- double-click an ics attachment to have a calendar event created in an account of choice
- move contacts and calendar events across accounts (I assume this is far fetched)
Questions:
- Is such an integrated environment possible?
- Does anyone have experience with integrating outlook.com and office365 accounts for mail, contacts and calendar in Vivaldi?
- How would one setup such an integrated (or loosely connected) environment on an Andrioid phone?
-
@S_Paternotte Why should it not work?
You can add multiple mail accounts. They all appear in mail client of Vivalid browser.
Same with calendars. You can add multiple calendars - even caldav.
With the DAVx5 app you can integrate all accounts into the Android calendar and contacts and synchronize them.
If you have more than one server (like webmail.vivaldi.net) you'll find the server list within the DAVx5 app.
What does not work yet is the import of a contacts list into the mail client. There contacts have to be entered manually.
But when using e.g. webmail.vivaldi.net the contacts are also synchronized via DAVx5 with Android.
Presumably this also works with other webmail providers/servers.
I can't say anything about outlook and office 365. If they also provide caldav, it should work. -
Well, you might have guessed that it's the outlook.com and office365 integration that I am quite keen to obtain.
My two cents:
- I cannot add my outlook.com account
- I cannot add my office365 account
So what's the best procedure here related to OAuth and/or password authentication?

Ah, after adding an extension Thunderbird manages to complete the office365 alright.
Thunderbird has something special for O365 authentication! -
@S_Paternotte Searching this forum with "outlook" gives you some interesting threads, i.e.:
