Tab Levels/Folders
-
I love tab stacks and use them often. However, one of the most annoying aspects of stacks with Vivaldi is that there are only two options to view them: a drop down menu or an entirely new second tab bar below. I use stacks too often for the drop down menu to be convenient. And the second bar takes up too much screen real estate (which, compounded with side panels, bottom status bars, etc., adds up to a lot of clutter).
So my proposed solution is that there be an option to leave the single tab bar at the top and then open a stack almost like you would open a folder in Finder or File Explorer. The stack would take up the entirety of the tab bar and then you would have the ability to go back a level to see the remainder of your tabs.
This way, you have much easier access to the tabs in your stack but don't have to deal with two whole layers of tabs at the top of your screen.

@silasmccord Accordion Style Tabs are already available in the Snapshot versions. They will soon come to the Stable build.
Tab Stacks can be collapsed to a single tab, and opened with a click on an icon. When the active tab is not in a stack it will collapsed automatically. Only one tab bar row is needed.
There is already a popular feature request for Expand/Collapse Tab Stacks.

@pesala Incredible, thank you! Wild that I haven't heard of vivaldi before. It has quickly become my favorite browser.
