New tab selection options – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1503.4
-
@ruario I've just successfully played multiple DM videos here, No UA tricks needed. Ta for fixing it.
-
@steffie: Oh they are needed. The UA blocking pops up at “random’. It probably isn't random but it feels that way. We have done a lot of internal testing. There will be a built in UA spoof in the next snapshot, just to be sure.
-
@ruario a local copy of the video? No of course, the video never gets downloaded as it didn't before; I'm clicking random videos never seen before, as daily motion NEVER worked for me in Vivaldi so I never use that site in any case.
I tried Ctrl-F5 and cleared cache to be super sure, that's not the problem.
I'm on win7 32 bit, if that helps. -
@iAN-CooG Do they work for you in Private Window?
-
@pesala: We have a lot more feature requests than that and a lot less devs working on the desktop browser.
-
@Steffie too bad not even in private window, I'm trying this in Firefox
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x755vcx
and works ok (it even autoplays infact, no need to push any play button) but not in Vivaldi.
OH Well. -
@iAN-CooG Clearly, all the exhaustive tests have now taken you to the point of irrefutable logic... tis time to reformat then replace with Linux. :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:
-
@ian-coog: Ok we cannot reproduce that at all currently internally. Until we do, don't hold up much hope for a fix.
-
@Steffie for dailymotion? I'm not that desperate.
-
@iAN-CooG Think of it as the beginning of your exciting new life.
-
@Steffie I
-
If i disable tab stacking than tabs should go to the edge of the screen.
Is there possible to add favicon on thumbnails of speed dial.
-
@iAN-CooG For the first time in a long time it works on one of my three PCs. Strangely and unfortunately only one!
-
@hipeline ok, at least I'm not the only one not seeing it working. There must be something that makes it work on some configurations.
I am on the work PC now, I'll try on the home PC (another Win7 32bit tho) this evening. -
I found a way to crash the browser:
- Open any website in the browser.
- In a new window open a website with a log in form for which Vivaldi has saved the password (you might want to use a private window for this, so you aren't logged in automatically). The small key icon shows up in the address bar.
- Switch back to the first window with a website opened. The key icon is displayed in the address bar in this window, too. Click the key icon.
---> Crash
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit and Vivaldi 64-bitCan anyone confirm this?
-
@iAN-CooG My 2 laptops can't play DM videos (W7 32bits and W10 64bits)

@iAN-CooG Same here. Don't work on V - even with UA spoofed and with adblocker/scriptblocker off.
Works on chr beta (74) , canary (75) and Firefox (really slow to start here).
DM seems to use an inject.js to load the dom(?).
Wondering why it works on linux.
Should check on my mint VM, just in case.
