Allow search engine in right click context menu for links
-
I would like to search the text in a hyperlink using the custom search engines I've configured in Vivaldi.
For example, let's say the hyperlink for the word "Example" is "www.example.com". I want to right click on the link and search "Example" using the custom search engines. I.e, I want to search the link text.
You can do this with Firefox using Context Search Origin. I want to achieve the same for Vivaldi.

You can do that - if you highlight the link text first. As with old Opera, if you drag left or right over a link you highlight the text; if you drag vertically you drag the link. Highlighting your name above and then right-clicking gives me a menu that does include the standard "link" options of Open. Save, Add to bookmarks and Copy link address but also Copy (text) search, search with (which has a submenu to select a different search engine), and so on. Try it.

Thank you for the reply.
I know about this trick and it is indeed useful for most links. I should clarify that I am trying to do this for Zendesk. I work on the service desk and we use Zendesk as our ticketing system. In the Zendesk dashboard, we can see a bunch of tickets listed as individual "links" to click on. However, they are not the same as a normal link. The drag & highlight trick works well for links on e.g. Google Search, but it doesn't work in Zendesk. As soon as you star click and drag (without letting go the left click) into a Zendesk ticket link, it just takes you immediately to the ticket.
