-
Update: For a fully configurable toolbar, upvote this request.
-
@jonmc Temporarily
youuyou may find the feature on Modifications Forum -
@lamarca Cheers! Saw yet another request for this one via our Facebook page and tried to track down the request in here. Was surprised not to see it. Lots of interest in getting this one in!
-
@jonmc There are currently 78 upvotes for Configurable Toolbars. It is one of the most popular requests, but covers a lot more than removing one button from one toolbar.
-
@jonmc This forum is awesome:) A few lines of a CSS file is enough. In case you have any doubt, don't hesitate to ask me.
Cheers from Rio

@pesala Nice one - hadn't checked it out, but sounds like an excellent idea. Thanks for the heads up!
-
@jonmc Done. You need to create a file and add its path in a file.
Edit
-
Why? The home button doesn't take-up that much real estate.
-
@para-noid
It really depends on the screen size and the number of extension buttons on the other side of the toolbar. And, it's totally pointless if someone never uses it.I don't see why it can't be removed from day 1, since we can remove fast forward/rewind.
-
@nekomajin That is the first time I learnt about the option to hide FF and Rewind. Apparently, It was not possible 10 months ago
I think one feature request to customise the toolbars is all that we need. Everyone has different workflows and different priorities.
-
@pesala
I agree. Just wanted to point out that it's already possible to remove some buttons. -
@nekomajin Yup, I put that one to use right away as well. Prefer to keep things as uncluttered as possible.
-
And not just the toolbar! I don't use many keyboard commands, and this was one of my favorite things about Firefox: I'd just drag-and-drop onto the toolbar the buttons I cared about/used. However for Vivaldi, I would love to see the ability to customize the same way the status bar. I use it only with the 'page tiling' function, but I feel it would be incredible to have 'open in-private window', 'search' and other stuff (or whatever could be added). It would give much more sense to it to have it open

I think this can be tagged "Done".
-
@para-noid until Vivaldi
2.2
is the stable variant, the fitting tag would (still) beIn Progress
. -
Now tagged as DONE and move to the appropriate place.
