The extension SessionBox could provide some of the desired features of Multi-Account-Containers, I suppose.
I haven't tried it bc I have no multi-accounts. But I searched for it to provide multi-whatsapp-accounts within 1 browser.

I've wondered if Opera starting this feature (they call them workspaces and they're not very feature rich yet) would get this feature prioritized.I don't know if they plan on changing how this works, but, at the moment, Opera Workspaces are nothing like Firefox containers. They're more like what is now called "tab groups". They visually show/hide groups of tabs, but they're not isolated in any way. Just wanted to share update on that. Sorry for any confusion.

@Dancer18 I couldn't get SessionBox to work with Vivaldi. Google, for example, refused to open up a tab under a different login.
This capability would make Vivaldi a near-perfect browser.

i could never understand the fuss with containers and why would firefox suddenly need it considering it did without it for so long.Firefox's extension engine may still have some issues but make no mistake Mozilla does keep Firefox up to date with the saltest technology and privacy features INCLUDING containers. Migfht want to check the facts before posting.
Now that said SessionBox which @Dancer18 mentioned is a good choice for Vivaldi while we wait to see if the dev do incorporate native container support.

Please add this as part of guest mode, coz now first mode is the same as incognito.

I think this feature can be added like a profile manager evolution.
Nowadays the profile manager feels outdated, compared to the performance that Firefox carries with regard to handling containers.

Just another voice to say a) I'm so glad to have found Vivaldi and love the privacy and accessibility features built in, but b) won't and can't switch until this is implemented. Longing to swap off Firefox (for the most part), but this is a dealbreaker.

@charmarkk I never had a browser that worked in all situations. I had to deal with at least 2 different browsers parallel.
I guess that isn't possible for you bc multi-account-containers are essential for you?

I would really love this feature. I already use Firefox for work. but having this for Vivaldi would be exceptional.
If anything it could just be an extension to the existing profiles. It would just need to isolate cookies to a profile. -
MAC would be a killer feature for me if implemented in Vivaldi. I use MAC now together with Temporary Containers addon, it allows to isolate any site by default in a new temporary container, so all sites are isolated unless a site is added to whitelist or assigned to a container.
Until this is implemented in Vivaldi, I will continue to use it as a backup browser in case a site does not work in Firefox. -
I too would love this feature. It's one of the main reasons I keep Firefox around. Thank you anyway for an awesome daily browser.

Vivaldi could be that 1 browser.
There is no other better browser GUI/All-In-One Feature Rich browser. Add mozillas containers technology and you have one powerful browser that can accommodate any web-surfer across all major operating systems.
My dream browser would be Vivaldi Quantum for all the about:config settings that would be introduced including those mozilla/tor-project collaborations but this is but a dream.
I'm grateful for Vivaldi and do use it. In a time where other take features away, Vivaldi give you all the furniture and allows you to set it all to fit your needs. I have come to like this so much that there have been times I'd wished that Vivaldi, like Affinity Designer or Photoshop, were to allow me to save different layouts for different working scenarios. I think this would actually be a good feature.
I see all Vivaldi has done with the browser and it is good. The browser has come very far both on desktop and mobile.
It is the one chromium flavor I use and recommend.

@orionrion The technology being spoken-of/requested by the name of "Multi-Account Containers" is much more than a "multi-login" extension.
You can do a multi-login right now by merely opening a private-window. You can use your standard and private-window to login to two different gmail account (1 on standard, 1 on private-window).
Containers works kind in such way but per tab(s)-container regarless of being a standard or private browsing session.
Containers give you control over cookies themselves.
Containers is much more than a mere multi-login addon. You can think of Containers as a built-in cookies management infrascture.

Your advice is suitable for those who have 2-3 accounts. But if there are 10-20 of them. It doesn't fit at all. It's a shame that Vivaldi doesn't have this feature. However, we can see that someone created an extension that satisfied the user's request. So it is possible.
I hope that the developers will hear us and Multi-Account Containers will appear

Please add this feature! There is no Chrome extension that is good enough for this (it doesn't work with Google accounts, for example). I love Firefox just because of these containers, but it keeps crashing on my machine, so I need another browser. Vivaldi is almost perfect. But it has the profile system like Chrome and that is just cumbersome.
