Enable right-click -> Clear Search History

Clearing Search History even in 1.14 is still way too difficult. First, add a setting to NOT remember search history at all (means that clearing isn't even an issue). Second, in the search text entry area, provide right-click -> Clear Search History to enable immediate clearing of search history. As it is even in 1.14, clearing search history is a hand-motions intensive pain in the sitzon...

I have Vivaldi 3.8.2259.40 (Stable channel) (64-bit) but I still see drop down search history even though it's disabled in the privacy settings.
If I right click a search box, for example in Wikipedia, there is no option to clear history.

@rbv This request is very old and now seems to be available. Please confirm so that the moderators can tag this as done.
See Settings, Privacy to disable Show Typed History in:
In Address Field
In Search FieldObviously, you can disable both if you wish.

The settings you describe are nice. And they appear to work. But they aren't the solution I was hoping for.

Grab a modern version of Firefox.
-
Configure Firefox to display a search bar.
-
In the search bar right-click.
Firefox displays a small menu that includes Clear search history.
I'm happy to have you to mark this as Done. But it's not really.
Regardless. feel free to dispose of this issue as desired...
Cheers, thanks, and hope this helps,
Riley

Thanks. Clearing the search history in Firefox appears to have solved the problem - at least in Wikipedia in Vivaldi.

Sadly this is not fixed at all. I was using Wikipedia this morning and the pop-down search history has returned. They look like old items from maybe six months or a year ago that I searched, so I assume I changed my search history setting that long ago but it only stopped recording new history after that but is still showing history prior to changing the setting? This is just a guess. It's very frustrating.
Is there a local file I can delete?
